"Are you kidding me? Do you have any idea what you are saying, father?" Avalyn roared at her father as he sighed in frustration. It's not like he minds her sudden burst out he was indeed expecting it.

" Go to your room, Amy. " Amy looked at her sister with teary eyes.

Avalyn's heart clenched painfully witnessing her tears. Mr. Stone commanded and Amy silently obeyed him running to her room.

"First relax princess. You have to understand that this proposal is perfect for Amy." Avalyn looked at the man in front of her in disbelief shaking her head.

"I don't know what are you even thinking father. You completely left me speechless. I accepted why you have chosen Jacob for me because he loves me and has everything for being a perfect husband and son in law but now it's about your daughter. Your biological daughter who is just 20 years old and your planning to get her married to that freak."

Mr. Stone sighed heavily standing up from his seat as he felt utterly helpless. He has no idea how to convince her daughter. Avalyn didn't protest when Mr. Stone asked her to marry Jacob. But he knew when it will come to Amy she will never accept a Mafia that is double her sister's age.

"I know Ava. I know but you have to understand that Hunter Knight is the best option for her. Your right he's way older than Amy but again think carefully. He can give her everything, anything she wished for."

Avalyn scoffed at her father's word "Sure he can give her clothes. Food. His handsome face and maybe even fulfill her every wish. But can he give her the love every woman craved for? No, he can't. He's famous for having one nightstand. He never even had a proper girlfriend before. And from the rumors, I heard that he's finding a wife not for his personal life but because of his business matters. He wanted to save his seat by using his wife and your being a blind man accepts that worthless offer of his."

After hearing Avalyn's words Mr. Stone let out a sigh in defeat. "Fine then talk to him and refuse this proposal by yourself because I have no strength to do so. " He exclaimed before walking out of the room with frustration written all over his face.

Of course. A coward like you can never stand for anyone not even for himself. Avalyn thought venomously as her father once again showed his cowardly side by putting every burden on her. Letting out a sigh she looked at the maid who was standing there with her head down.

"When Knight brothers come. Call me. And make sure to not let Amy come in front of them. Understood. " Maid muttered yes mam and Avalyn dashed towards her room.

After the party, James Knight met Mr. Stone and gave a proposal of Hunter and Amy's marriage. He even offered a new partnership between Knight estates and Stone enterprises which got Mr. Stone's attention and he thought this marriage extremely privileged for his business.

But again he thought about his daughter. she's too young for this marriage. The man is 8 years older than her. He doesn't mind him being a mafia boss as for him it's not a big deal but the fact that he's famous for his playboy character it wasn't easy for Mr. Stone to make a decision.

But at last, James succeeded in manipulating the old man and he asked for a time as he has to discuss this matter with his elder daughter. James was extremely stunned at the fact that Avalyn does have a lot of dominance over Mr. Stone's household and he can tell without her confirmation this marriage seems impossible.

Hunter was amused to hear James' words. He didn't know a girl who looks so fragile and timid can earn this much important place in her house. She looks like a girl who needs someone to protect her but instead got surprised that she's the one he needs to be aware of as her one denial can result in getting him to be rejected.
