James reply was not too unexpected, still a bit shocking. Celine's face clearly revealed how unprepared she was for his answer, she didn't want to accept that she was somehow very near to knowing the truth, it always scared her, she feared that the reality will be too bitter.

'Do you know him by any chance?' James asked Celine.

His question confused Celine. What should she answer? What if he's someone not trustworthy? She cannot make mistakes here. What if someone knows about her presence in Floralle and he is one of the not too good people?

'Probably no.' she replied hesitatingly, lowering her eyeballs.

He chuckled. His chuckle shivered Celine's veins. Why did he chuckle?

'Why ?' Richard asked James. He took a deep breath.

'Maybe I do know that you are lying, that's why.' he replied.

Richard glared, a question in his glare arousing.

'You don't have to be scared.'

'We're not.' Richard replied sternly.

'I know.' he faced Celine. 'I know that you are the only daughter of Damon.'  The words escaped his tongue and entered their ears. There was silence ringing across the room. 'It is because your father, many times he had shown me your photos. He was a good old friend of mine.'

'And?' Celine asked.

'What do you mean?'

'Well, if you already knew who I was, still you didn't react for quite a while and quietly brought us here. Perhaps, you want to talk about something.'

He nodded. 'Damon, before his death met me. He told me if some day, I possibly find you on the land of Floralle, I should ask you leave as soon as possible.'

'Wha...why?' Celine whispered, questioning herself. The words didn't sound believable. Richard got confused. Didn't Celine' s father ask her to settle here? Why would he ask her to leave?

'Didn't Mr. Damon ask Celine to take the blame of his death and settle here? How could he possibly ask you to make Celine leave this place?' Richard asked.

'How does he knows about the letter? James asked Celine.

'He probably stole it.' she replied. 'Anyways, it was a good thing he did.'

'You dropped it first.'

'Who are you?' James asked Richard.

'By profession, a lawyer, handling the case.'

'So... a human?'

'Half human, half superior.'

'A myth?'

'Myth!' Celine exclaimed. She stared at Richard with confusion. 'Myth!'

'I should've known that was a lie.' James said. 'People here believe that partials are a myth, because it has been centuries since one existed. I'm sure that's not true.'

Richard nodded. 'I can understand why.'

'What were you telling about what father told you?'  Celine asked.

'To be honest, that letter was indeed written by Damon but under supervision. He wrote something he didn't want to write.'

'What did he want to write?' Richard asked curiously.

'To begin with, he did know you would somehow not accept the case and would try to fight the case. In addition, there are talented lawyers in human world to fight such a case, also your father asked me to manipulate the evidences against you.'
