Taehyung rested his head on his desk and yawned. He was in Lit class and he disliked literature with a passion, or maybe it was more like he disliked the woman who taught it.

She was always on his case for absolutely no reason. Half of the students slept while she taught and she always chose to pick on Taehyung.

Like right now.

"Mr. Kim!" The woman yelled as she slammed her whiteboard marker against her desk.

Any harder and she would crush the damn thing.

Taehyung rolled his eyes and looked at the woman. The absolutely miserable woman who liked to take out her marriage problems on her students.

"Yes, Mrs. Green—"

"Don't sleep in my damn class! Just because you're leaving halfway through doesn't mean you get a free pass to do nothing in class! Look at everyone else!"

Taehyung looked around the classroom.

Everyone else was either sleeping or half asleep.

Barely anyone could keep their eyes open in her class.

"Everyone else is asleep, Mrs. Greenhouse."

The woman groaned and gripped the red marker in her hand, "you already have detention with Mr. Jeon, don't make me put you on my list too, Taehyung, I have absolutely no problem with doing that."

Taehyung sighed, "Whatever you say, Mrs. Greenhouse."

At least one good thing about moving away is that he wouldn't have to deal with this woman anymore.

The blonde haired woman stood up straight and pulled a blouse down, "I'll be telling Mr. Jeon to extend your detention time."

Please, like that gonna do him shit.

Detention with Jungkook was never detention to begin with.

But of course, she didn't need to know that.

-

"Why did Mrs. Greenhouse ask me to extend your detention?" Jungkook asked as he grabbed the brunette's waist and pulled him onto his lap

"Because she thinks it's a punishment when really it isn't."

Jungkook hummed, "do I need to start giving you actual detention, or can we continue like this."

The brunette smiled and placed a soft kiss on Jungkook's lips, "I really like this. So, let's stay like this for a while."

Taehyung rested his head against Jungkooks chest and closed his eyes.

"Hey, Jungkook..." he said softly after a while.

The ravenette hummed and pulled the student further upon his lap.

"Are we going to be okay?"

Taehyung didn't receive a response.

But that's only because Jungkook didn't know if they were going to be okay.

Neither of them knew they were going to be okay.

Taehyung was moving halfway around the world, and Jungkook wanted to go and be with him so bad.

But he couldn't.

He had a child, and he didn't have enough money, and on top of that, he still had a lot of things he had to deal with because of his past.

He couldn't move. Not yet at least.

Taehyung closed his eyes and let out a shaky breath. Right now he was trying his best to keep those tears in. But fuck, it wasn't working. Those little shits were so close to slipping out.

"I hope we're gonna be okay."

Jungkook wrapped both of his arms around the brunette and kissed the top of his head.

"I hope so too. I really really hope so."

-

24 hours later Taehyung was...he was in America.

The brunette gnawed at his bottom lip as his thumbs hovered over the keyboard of his phone before he typed the words, 'I'm missing you.'

Because right now, he was missing Jungkook so fucking much and all he wanted to do was go back.

But he couldn't.

It was too late now.

Placing his phone face down on the bed, Taehyung finally let his tears fall. He's been holding them in for a while now.

Grabbing a pillow and pulling it close to his chest, Taehyung sobbed and sobbed and sobbed, but he got himself together when his phone rang.

The brunette swiped the answer button and placed it to his ear, and then he heard his voice.

Jungkook's voice.

"I'm missing you too, baby. So much."

Taehyung couldn't keep it together anymore. He broke down. And Jungkook listened. He listened as the boy cried while he spoke, slurring his words together and mumbling things Jungkook couldn't understand. Jungkook listened, and he hated that he couldn't be there to hug the boy. He hated that Taehyung was breaking down over the phone. He hated that he couldn't be there.

Be there to comfort him, to hold him, to kiss him, to sing to him.

He hated it.

And what he hated, even more, was the fact that he knew he wouldn't be able to be there for a while.

A while.

When Jungkook ended the call he placed his phone down and glanced back at his sleeping daughter before letting his own tears fall.

He even laughed a bit.

Yeah, they definitely weren't okay.

-
