From a young age we are told that in this world there are monsters and people who want to take us away, who want to hurt us but we tell our parents we'll be safe, we'll be smart to please our parents never expecting it to actually happen..
Until it did..
It started with Griffin Stagg...
Then, Billy Showalter....
Next was, Vance Hopper.... Her brother...
Then it was, Bruce Yamada... Her bestfriend...
Next it was, Robin Arellano... Her Friend, who was like a little brother to her...
Now, Finney Blake... Another one of her friends who she was really close with...
at this point violet felt as if she was cursed, so many people she cared about had been taken.....
Violet Hopper was just like her twin brother vance, few friends, fights, pinball lover, angry attitude, known to stay away from.
But once you were close with the girl and she trusted you behind that angry exterior was a teddy bear, she was soft and rarely showed it.
She was friends with Finney, Bruce and Robin, she didn't like her brother's friend so much so she made her own friends.
After her brother's disappearance, she lost it. She was getting into more fights, barely sleeping, zoning out.
Her friends took notice of that, they tried to cheer her up and it worked here and there.
She was suffering the disappearance of her brother alone, her parents being to worried about drugs to give a shit.
She remained searching for him every night and day, hoping she'd find him or in some hope just come home.
Violet, Finney, and Robin had a tutoring session violet joined cause she needed a break from her house and wanted to hang out with the two boys.
Saturday night she received a phone call, it was the police asking her if she had seen robin.
"Robin? Is robin okay?" She asked frantically worried about her friend then she hearing the police tell her he went missing broke her heart three people she cared about was gone.Tears fell ran down her face "I'm sorry officers I haven't seen him, but I will keep eyes out for him. Like I've been doing to for my brother and Bruce. Do your job and find the fucking grabber!" She yelled into the phone before hanging up.
Violet slid down the wall running her hands through her blonde hair. She couldn't comprehend how they are unable to find the grabber and how many boys have gone missing because of the grabber.
She prayed to any God that would listen praying that they were okay, if only she knew that they were actually dead and far from okay.
violet was never the one to let her feeling of sadness, emptiness, the fear of being alone, breaking down, out or shown she kept it buried deep like burying a person in a grave but instead of a person it was her feelings that she thought made her feel weak.
that's why she couldn't allow herself to believe they were dead because if they were dead that means she would be alone with no one to make bad days at home and school bearable. No one to put a smile on her face, no one to goof off with, no one to watch movies with, no one to cheer on at baseball games, no one mess with on her walks home...
Vance would never be coming home... They would never have their movie nights again.. they would never have pinball competition, rushing to beat each others high scores... no more walks together.. no one to mess with... no one to look forward to seeing when she got home.. no one to make her feel less alone in a house where she was invisible... no one to share her day with anymore when she came home... her other half now gone and no reassurance that Vance was okay and would walk into the house any day now.....
