The elder Ji walks into the Kim's home, her grandchild leading her to Namjoon's room. The tribe all stand outside with purple fans with the painted symbol of the moon, Namjoon's sickness has raged on for over 4 moons. Healers tried every method from spells to drawing blood, but nothing would slow down his fiery fever. The tribe had to call down the elder from the mountain to see him, for he became too weak to move, even with the help of the tribe.

As the elder approaches his room chief Kim bows to her, but she ignores all forms of formality and takes his hand. With the beating of his heart pulsing through his hands she can feel his concern and his anguish.

"Come now, the boy is young, strong, he can live through this. His blessing is enough to prove he must live for a great many things."

The chief nods too tired to even speak, up for days watching over his son. Namjoon's sleeping figure reminds him of his wife. The vision of her dying after giving birth to their son has started to consume him with regret.

The elder's granddaughter slides Namjoons room door open, the purple glowing light within him that was so bright has faded into a dim lifeless flame. Even the slightest draft of wind could snuff it out, taking his life with the smoke. The roots of his hair have started to turn back to brown, the blessing has begun to be defiled.

"Oh my gods," The elder says, "Was the red moon a warning of this, can we not bring back his strength," She asks herself.

The elder quickly takes out beads of light, given to the temple thousands of years ago by Hoseok during the time of the demon war. She then takes out a wooden circle painted red with the symbols 'war' painted in black, the symbol of Yoongi. With her humming and temple chants she walks around Namjoon, trying to lift whatever defilement has cursed him. Ji feels a resistance, she chants louder and harder, her voice becoming a low growl. Suddenly Namjoons light turns red stunning the elder, she gasps and feels a heavy weight on her shoulders. The sounds of great suffering within him flood into her ears.

A great fire of rejection, a fire spirit has entered into him, the fear of Jin leaving his side haunting his mind. It's the vision of fixed fate that plagues his body, life with a woman he doesn't love, a life without the beauty Jin.

Chief Kim and granddaughter see elder Ji freeze, both shocked to see the elders expression of fear. "Elder Ji, grandmother?" The grandchild goes to her side, holding her shoulder.

The elder gasps out of a trance, she was drowned in the anguish of Namjoons silent suffering. "Gods, why do you make our master suffer so, how could the walls of Kim be thus polluted." A howl scares the house, the winds blow and the sound of thunder shakes the earth.

The villagers outside of the Kim's home get on their knees, kneeling to the signs of the gods.

However, with the sun blocked by blackened clouds a figure stands in the forest. An ominous aura begins to take over the air, the winds that used to smell of salt turns sour to the smell of iron. Blood.

As the day turns night the tribe light their fires, the moon has been covered by dark clouds. The elders fear the unknown lurking in the shadows of the night. All must pray to Seokjin to protect them in the night, and thank Hoseok for the light of fire.

In beds tucked away the tribe sleeps in peace, all except one. The Moonchild still suffers a fire within. A battle raging inside like a frenzy, his own body trying to crawl out. Trying to run away.

As Namjoon lays in his bed, sweat building on his brow, the shadowed figure stands outside his home. The eyes of a demon shining in the darkness. Dark red like fresh drawn blood. Reaching for the wooden house the blackened figure takes shape. A beautiful woman, the woman of the hut hidden in the woods. Yeonsin god of all things dark and unholy.
