Hello again!

Today is the 8th of December and with this we already end the journey in space with Mori, the so desperately, in love alien.
It seems as if he had lost everything, but ... in order not to be considered a traitor in his own ranks, Shinji had to conceal the truth from his son and bring him before the court.
Guilty as charged, was the devastating verdict.

Part 4

Mori sat in the prosecutor's bench with his head hanging down. The twelve people who had just rejoined and were noisily adjusting their chairs took no notice of him. Only when the judge signaled did one of the jurors rise and glare angrily at the alien being tried.

"Guilty as charged! .. For treason to one's own species and the murder of a human being!"

The condemned alien had already guessed it, but to hear the guilt verdict, so loud and clear, hurt infinitely in his chest. He felt something like heartbreak, even though it was said that the aliens' antennae were the most important organ.

A pain that penetrated so deeply into Mori's soul, almost paralyzed him and made everything around him turn dark. They could behead him, torture him, torment him, he would feel nothing but endless emptiness and loneliness.

"Go on, get up. The trial is over and your new life is waiting for you."Rough hands grabbed the condemned man by the sleeve and pulled him up. "You're lucky, the beheading can't happen today, so enjoy your last hours with your feelers." The guard laughed mockingly and pushed Mori in front of him, through the narrow corridor in the courthouse that led to the prison cells.

No, the alien was not deprived of his head. Decapitation meant removing the retractable antennae that were responsible for all the supernatural abilities. Mori would be able to live without his antennae, like a normal human, which was not a very pleasant idea. There was only one place for the kind of criminal where this easy life was possible.

The District 69, a heavily guarded arial, without a chance to escape. There was a similar atmosphere there as on Earth, but living conditions were limited to the most necessary, no comforts or luxuries, just the hard work on the assembly line to afford a room in a cheap tavern. Mori would become a number, among many other "criminals", deprived of his powers and doomed to be lonely for the rest of his life.
Before they even got to the cell wing, the alien was pushed into a room and stumbled towards the small table, which was the only furniture in it. Behind it stood a tall alien with his back to him.

"Father?"

What else was there to discuss? Wasn't it clearly decided what his future would be? He knew that he had done it all wrong, from the very beginning and he regretted it, regretted it bitterly.

Mori folded his hands in front of his chest and looked sadly at the ground. There would have been other ways to guard his love. But it would have been best, if he hadn't discovered that rocket in the first place and hadn't seen the person inside. Nothing would have happened, nothing at all. Torio could still be alive, traveling through space as an astronaut, pursuing his dream .. He shouldn't die so young, so pretty, so innocent. Not now, and certainly not by the impatience of a stupid alien in love, acting so blindly and thoughtlessly. He could never look in the mirror again without hating that useless alien inside. Yes, he hated himself and his inability to protect the one true love he had found.

Silently, the unfortunate man cried bitter tears until the door slammed behind him and Kazmi finally turned to him. He, too, had wet cheeks and red teary eyes.

"You don't need to instruct me anymore, Dad. .. I've learned my lesson and ... I also know you're not to blame. ... It was my careless foolishness. I really thought ... I could do it."

Mori sobbed into his hands, his antennae hanging limply over his ears, the color faded, and all emotion gone from it. "I killed him because I ... I wanted him ... so much." Silence remained for some time, only the soft whimpering and sniffling, could be heard until the older alien cleared his throat noisily:

"Mori, my boy ... I'm sorry. ... I wanted to spare you all this, but I had no choice. My men have the best training, they are clever minds and act according to the laws of the IUCHIS. They would have banished us ... and your human .. eliminated." The son looked up.

"You say they would have ... my human?" His large dark eyes lit up. "You saw him, he was ... perfect ... wasn't he?" A tender smile settled on the full lips, for a brief moment, as Kazmi nodded slowly. Then Mori burst into tears again, hiding his face in his large sweater neckline. Now the father could not bring himself to remain silent any longer. He stood in front of the lanky alien and pulled him close.

"Be strong Mori, ... it will be all right. Trust Hichan and me." When the youngest brother's name came up, the convict's ears perked up again.

"Hichan? Where is he, why wasn't he at the trial? ... Father?" Instead of an answer, Kazmi took him in his arms and whispered in his son's ear:

"I cannot talk here. Just trust me, and by all means, keep the shackles on your feelers. They feel your ... Torio." No sooner were these words spoken than Mori clung to the commander as tightly as if he were his last salvation from drowning. The long slender fingers clawed into the dark fabric of the suit and the constantly following thick tears caused dark stains on it. All emotions came up at once and the little alien was shaken by his heart-wrenching sobs. The relief of knowing his most precious treasure was safe filled his heart with so much love and the hopeful crying, made it difficult for him to breathe.

The father was visibly overwhelmed with his son's emotional outburst. He was unable to let Mori suffer for another 24 hours; it would have driven him to madness.
"You need to calm down Mori, he's fine." Slowly he pushed the still trembling man away from him and held his shoulders in a firm grip. " You must listen to me now. I have 'stolen' my beloved wife from the earth and so have left a tiny hole there. You will fill that space again. Because now, there is no longer any place for you here. ... As much as it hurts me to send you away, it must be done." The son leaned his forehead against his father's chest and breathed a sigh of relief. What would it be like, without family on a completely different planet? He had studied a lot about Earth, secretly learning the major languages to find his way around. So now his future lay there, in the land where his mother had lived and tried to protect the environment. Mori decided to save a part of this planet as well. As an important building block for humanity, a link between different nations, he would conquer millions of hearts, make faces shine with joy and thus defeat the darkness. One day, he would be able to prove that he, too, was a son of the leader. His father would be proud of him. For sure, because he wanted to fill this tiny gap with light, so much light that it would overflow and displace the darkness. Mori also already knew how he could reach this, because with Torio at his side it should be an ease.

The journey to earth and at the same time to the past, enabled the extraordinary couple to find a rock band already as teenagers and to become very successful over the years. But, ... however, people who come to a certain age have needs ....

Have a nice day😉
