                              Hi Corinne,
I hope you slept well and wish you a wonderful 'breakfast' if it isn't over by now😅 Yesterday came no chapter, it will come today, if I get the time to overread it, I am sorry🙈
But here we are with another chapter of the "40 Shoes", I hope it clears up some things and can stirr a little bit of curiosity for as I planned on continuing it for a while...
But, put aside those things... Have a nice day!
Tika asked Take-chi, if she should tell him something of this world:
"Yeah, why not? Tell me... Please.", Take-chi mumbled, not quite sure if he really wanted to hear what Tika was about to say, or if he would rather bathe in unawareness a little longer. But after he said this, there was no turning back.
His hostess made herself comfortable before she began to explain. She had covered the pot, with the still mysterious food in it, and explained to him that it must now " brew," whatever that meant.
Take-chi perked up his ears, not wanting to miss anything this 'angelic being' was telling him. Tika cleared her throat briefly, in a sweetly reserved way, and began her 'story':
"So, you are on Earth, that's what they call our planet, that would be the, well, most important thing, I suppose. So, more specifically, you're on a continent called Asia, a country known as Japan, located on an island. But, as far as I can tell, you too are actually a native of the "NichtvonHier", the world behind the chimneys. Here, people would say that it doesn't exist at all, or they would call it " The Land of Fairy Tales," Take-chi marveled, something like that existed, and the place where he came from was called " NichtvonHier"? Quite exciting.
Tika paused for a moment, but then continued, lifting the lid of the pot and gently stirring it. "Well, so this city here is called Tokyo, it's the capital of this country. Means this is where most of the people live. Now also straight to the folks here, well, of our kind there are many different individuals and for the beginning it is certainly advisable not to trust anyone, there are bad fellows everywhere. The city is quite large as I mentioned before, so I would like to ask you not to leave on your own, yes?", Take-chi nodded, he wouldn't know where to go anyway.
"It took us years to explore everything here, but now I know the city like the back of my hand, so it would be wise to stay with me," Tika continued. The light brown haired man wondered. "Who do you mean by 'we'?", at that her expression turned a little dark, this lasted only very briefly, then she smiled again. "Oh, my two brothers and me. We were like pitch and brimstone, that is, very close to each other, but... that has changed, now I hardly hear from them...", confessed the Little Red Riding Hood.
After that, not much was said, as if the previous topic was a bit unpleasant, but the food was also ready and Tika arranged it for them on the small table in the kitchen. Somewhat suspiciously, the prince eyed the yellow-brownish gruel with potato pieces and rice in front of him and put it on his spoon, after which only chewing sounds were heard for a while. Tika eyed the man in front of her and seemed a bit surprised when he held out his plate to her and demanded "seconds, please." She obliged his request, laughing as she did so.
"Like Tou-nii, he always wanted another portion too. You guys really are alike in that way.", Tika noted and Take-chi bristled, she had used that name, Tou-nii, earlier, hadn't she? "Um... excuse my curiosity, but who is this Tou-nii you're talking about? Should I know him?", Tika fell silent at this question and before answering, she set Take-chi down his second serving of curry.
"No, don't worry, you don't have to know him, he's a former friend of mine, we lived together for a long time and overcame a lot... But it doesn't matter, he's not who he used to be and neither am I.", a bit wistful the expression on Tika's face struck him as she told this, so he preferred to leave his remark uncommented. "Was he your lover?" slipped across his lips anyway though, he had to ask that question. After all, it was impossible for such a beautiful girl as Tika not to be courted by all the world, wasn't it?
"Mhm, good question, I don't think so, while it would have definitely been a possibility for me, I liked him a lot, but I wasn't aware that he would be open to same-sex relationships..."
