1965
It was Christmas Eve, and all was merry and bright. Heavy snow fell to the ground in England. People were out shopping for gifts, children building snowmen, people ice skating. Everyone was enjoying the winter and holidays, except for one person. That person so happens to be George Harrison.Christmas wasn't that bad to him, but he hated winter. He always complained that it was "too cold" and that there was too much snow that he had to shovel. His boyfriend, Ringo, always seemed to be the opposite. He loved building snowmen, sitting by the fireplace, and watching Christmas movies; things George did not like doing. Well, he didn't mind sitting by the fireplace. At least he wasn't standing in the cold.
George and Ringo were walking back from the studio to their appartment. Both were bundled in many layers, their thickest coats, scarves, mittens, and wooly hats.
"Bloody hell, Starr, it's freezing out here!" George cursed. He hated cold weather. He'd rather be somewhere like Miami right now than freezing December England.
"Oh hush now, no need to curse at this perfect weather. Just think about when we get back to the house. We can have hot cocoa and sit by the fire!" Ringo said joyfully.
"Your definition of 'perfect' is rubbish!" Harrison exclaimed. He couldn't understand what Ringo found so "MaGiCal" about this time of year. You could get hypothermia in this 2 degree farenheit weather!
Ringo just kept quiet. There's no time for fussing and fighting. Especially during the holidays.
They finally reached the appartment and George was relieved. He no longer had to suffer in the cold. Ringo unclocked the door and George rushed inside and began to strip from his layers. Ringo went inside and started the hot cocoa.
"Hazza, flip through the channels and try to find a Christmas movie!" Ringo shouted from the kitchen.
"But I don't want to watch no bloody Christmas movie, I just wanna watch the news!" George complained back. He never really realized how festive Ringo was until he started dating him. He said he liked Christmas but he didn't know he really liked Christmas.
Ringo walked into the living room with a sad expression. He knew George didn't really care for Christmas, but he didn't think he'd turn down Christmas movies, on Christmas Eve!
"George, it's Christmas Eve. Don't be a scrooge. You don't even have to watch the movie, you can just cuddle on the couch with me." Ringo said sadly. He wasn't about to let his boyfriend ruin Christmas for him.
George started to feel bad he didn't wanna break Starr's Christmas spirit. He liked seeing him happy. He rushed to him and embraced him. "I'm sorry hun. I'll watch a movie with you. I don't like seeing you all upset, especially on Chistmas Eve."
Ringo looked up, whilst hugging George tightly. "Will you watch a Christmas movie with me? Will you?"
"Of course Richie, if it means making you happy of course I will." George said lovingly before kissing Ringo's forehead, making his boyfriend blush. "Now I smell hot chocolate, go get that and look for a Christmas movie." Ringo rushed off happily to go get the hot chocolate as George fumbled through the channels when he come across one he knew Ringo really liked, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
Ringo soon came in with hot cocoa and placed the two mugs on the coffee table. He looked over and saw that familiar reindeer on the telly. "George!" Ringo shouted excitedly to George, who was laying on the couch.
"Yes, I know! Now come over here baby and have cocoa with me." They both grabbed their cocoa and Ringo laid sitting up between George's legs.
Soon, they both finished their cocoa. Ringo couldn't even stay awake for half the movie, it being late at night. He was fast asleep between George's legs. George sat there for a little, enjoying the moment before tucking Ringo into their bed and giving him a kiss. He got in next to Starr and cuddled up next to him to stay warm. 'Maybe the Christmas season isn't that bad after all.." George thought before falling asleep, knowing tomorrow was Christmas. And he wouldn't be miserable thanks Ringo.
