-001-

In the dim light, my hands scrubbed away at the left over sauces from the day. Wrinkles littered the skin and the front of my uniform was soaked from stray water. Scrubbing with as much force as I could to rid the knives of any bacteria, I grunted. Finally, when it shined, I set them into the drying rack, for tomorrow's use.

Working at local sandwich place wasn't a very popular job, nor was it glorified. Dealing with customers was ok (except the occasional crazies that would come in) and making bread and sandwiches wasn't really a hard task. The pay was nothing special, but it wasn't as if I worked here for that anyways.

As I finished the rest of my tasks and got ready to close up the shop, my 'boss' walked in.

"Long day?" he greeted.

"Long enough," I replied. His messy black hair went in many directions and spiked towards the back. Wild bangs framed rich dazed eyes as he removed the fancy white gloves from slim fingers. Wiping his finger against a stray table, he inspected it. He gave a hum of satisfaction at the lack of dirt. "I just wiped that,"

"I don't doubt you did, ankle biter." He snarked back. His deep voice echoed around the small shop. Pulling out one of my phones and checked the time to see it was half pass 10.

"Haha," I dryly said as a response to his horrible but old nickname. "So what did you come to tell me?"

"We found a lead-"

"And?"

He sighed, "Well as I was saying before you interrupted me, we found a lead on this Kisaki guy." The grip on my phone slightly tightened from the implications. I had sent out groups of men to look for more information on this boy but most leads had either been normal or a dead end.

"Apparently," he started, "On the day Osanai was stabbed, the person responsible for calling the cops was Kisaki. We were able to trace the phone call to his phone and place his voice." Pulling out a chair, I sat down. "The boy acted like a bystander who got caught up in the fighting, police looked for him but couldn't find the person who made the call."

"Did you ever find out why Osanai went to fight those kids?" I asked.

"Yeah, we interviewed Haruki Hayashida, the person who stabbed Osanai," I nodded in response recognizing the name. "He claimed that Osanai had sent a group of people to rape and beat his friend, the friends girlfriend and family. It didn't sound right so I sent out another squad to investigate and found out the group responsible for assaulting Hayashida's friend were under the command of Kisaki."

Placing my forehead into the palm of my head, I tried to think through all the things I would have to do. Despite me wanting to defend my brother and protect him, I knew that the innocent people who were involved should take priority.

"Pay off the hospital bills for all victims. I don't care if the budget isn't enough, if you need more money just take it out of my personal account. Make sure they get everything top quality and if anyone asks who it's from just say a donor or some bull shit."

With that out of the way, next I needed to handle this Kisaki character, discern his motives and check on Osanai. Rubbing the bridge of my nose, I lifted my head to look my second squad leader in the eye.

"Next, I want you to schedule me an appointment with Osanai under an anonymous name and send out a group of men to find everyone associated with Kisaki and any recent incidents involving them," If I couldn't discern his goal from his actions than surely the people around him would help me get a clear picture.

After all, birds of a feather flock together.

"Gotcha Miss (Y/N)," he replied. Out stretching a white gloved hand to me, I took it lifting myself from the table. Walking out of the establishment, I tossed the keys to him and waited as he locked the door.
