day 6
my neck was cramped up against the front door as I looked around.
the realization of what happened last night started flooding back into my head. oww. my head started pounding once I started getting up. what happened?
I saw a light in the crack of my room. was it a burglar? what kind of burglar comes out at 7:30am? I started started walking towards my room carefully, holding a piece of bacon which I found strangely on the table.
"WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT IS YUR BUSINESS HERE?" I bursts through the door, defending myself with the half eaten bacon.
"oh.. it's just you." my heart started to relax along with my muscles. my friend Cara (care-uh) was laying on my bed, asleep watching Gossip Girl on my laptop.
I walked over to her and combed my fingers in her long curly hair. her face still covered in makeup, she started to wake up.
"oh. Kirby! hey girl how have you been?" cara got up and fixed her red skirt.
"I could be better. what are you doing here?"
"I don't remember honestly.. I all know is that I was walking home from a party at like, 3am but I got lazy so I stopped by your house and got your extra key and came in.."
"oh.. well I've got a lot to tell you. so many things happened in the past couple of days and I need help." walking to my closet, I pulled back my hair into a messy bun and changed into grey joggers and my old high school shirt.
we both sat down on the floor.
"okay.. you already know that I liked felix. so one day, I decided to play a game with him," I began.
cara's face was still, listening to every word I say.
"he agreed. and we started playing. so fast forward to last night, he took me to the lake as a date because we only had 2 days left, 1 day now, and... I confessed my love for him.." I glanced up at her to see her expression.
"you did what?" her eyes bulged out of her head as she leaned forward.
"can I please finish?"
she quietly nodded, calming herself.
"so after that event, he just got up and left." I shrugged my shoulders. I actually did expect that to happen. no one ever likes me back or if they do, it doesn't last every long.
cara stared at the wall until she perked up.
"HEY! we can go shopping!"
I looked at her with a confused expression. I was in a sad stage right now and she wants to shop?
"excuse me?"
"c,mon. we can give you a new look. make him jealous." she gave me a smirk, like felix use to give me- UGH. stop thinking about him. obviously he doesn't like you.
"okay okay fine. but no yellow."
cara let out a little squeal and pulled me to the door. yes, while I am wearing joggers and a t shirt.
