Today, we are getting ready to go to this place called 'school'. I saw it on a poster next to my house which said that those who would like to enroll in school should come now. I was interested and asked Mom if I could go and she obviously talked to Grandma and then agreed.
Tomorrow is the first day, and I'm getting prepared: I bought notebooks that smell and taste heavenly; some markers and crayons, and a super cool backpack.
We took the stuff to the cashier and he looked at me sarcastically then started laughing.
I politely asked: "Is something wrong, sir?"
But he didn't stop laughing.
Then he said, still laughing: "Haha, I'm sorry, but... that backpack is... uh, for boys... haha!"
"So?" I replied, annoyed.
"So... you're not... a boy! Haha," he responded.
He was really getting on my nerves!
"So what? Even though I'm not a boy, it doesn't mean I can't have this backpack. It has a drawing that's really cool, see?"
"You like that creature? It's so ugly and has so many eyes and arms. It's an a--" Before he could say anything I slapped him so hard his face was completely red. "You little monster!" I said angrily.
I was ready to expose myself when Mom came and grabbed me by my arms and left. I was so angry! What is wrong with him? He's so sexist!
I was still angry when we got home and I ran up to my room and started crying. Are we really that ugly? Do I really look ugly? Mom is so beautiful... Mom...
By the time I could finish I fell asleep lying on my fluffy pillow which helped me calm down.
(Chapter 3 is out! Yay!)
