I walked down the icy sidewalk, trying my best to keep my balance. I was on my way to Joey's house, because, well, I've been pretty distant lately, and I think the guys deserve an explanation. I walked carefully up the driveway to the front door. "Bella? What are you doing here?" Joey asked after opening the front door. "Yeah, nice to see you too." I muttered. "Sorry. Uh, come in I guess." I followed him in the house, leaving my ice covered shoes by the door. "Everything ok?" he asked as we plopped down on the couch next to each other. It wasn't unusual for any of us to just show up at each other's houses, but for one of us to be walking in 20 degrees weather, there had to be something wrong. "Not really." I sniffled, mainly because walking in the cold made my nose run. "Talk to me." he said. I leaned my head against the back of the couch.
"You know how I kept having to leave class last week?" I asked. "Yeah. I tried asking if you were okay. We all did." he replied. I was quiet for a minute. Should I really be telling him this? What if he doesn't understand? I sighed. "My anxiety attacks started coming back last weekend. I haven't had one since I was 13." I finally said. "Why didn't you just tell us?" he asked, scooting closer to me. "I don't know. I thought you were gonna think I was being dramatic." I said, feeling tears coming to my eyes. "Bells, we would never think that." He put his arm around me and pulled me closer. "I don't wanna go back to spending every day in the counselors office. I've been doing so good for the past 2 years." I cried as I laid my head down on his shoulder. "Next time you start feeling anxious, tell one of us okay?" I nodded in agreement.
We sat in silence for a few minutes while I tried to calm myself. "You wanna know what happened while I was walking here?" I finally said. "What?" he asked.
"I busted my ass on the sidewalk." I laughed softly. "Are you okay?" he asked, trying not to laugh. "Not really. It hurt like a bi-atch.""I have an idea." I said. "Oh no." Joey joked. "We should go to my house, get my hockey stuff out of the garage, and play on the driveway." I suggested. 15 minutes later, all 10 of us were sliding around on my driveway, split into two teams. We were all struggling to keep our balance, so we ended up spending more time falling than actually playing. I did pretty well staying up until I laughed at Sid falling into Corey, sending both of them crashing down. "Serves you right!" Corey laughed as I fell.
A/N: sorry this chapter is half-assed, it was supposed to be a filler chapter and i didn't have an idea for it so i just gave up at the end.
