What He Admitted

Nic tried to get up, struggling to focus on getting his hearing and eyesight back. As Nic stands up dazed, he could barely see, as Elle is forced into a prison bus. Suddenly, an olive green van pulls up, and the person takes Nic into the passenger seat.

"Hey kid!", the person yells, trying to snap Nic out of his trance, only as he watches the bus drive away. They snap their fingers at him, attempting to grab his attention. Nic looks over to the driver, trying to identify their face.

" M- Mr. Wilson?", he asks disoriented.

"Okay you're focused now. So listen, long story short, I just so happen to be at that carnival, and I saw your lady friend get taken away by those men."

"W- what? Where is she?", Nic asks confusedly.

" She's in that bus right there!" Nic looks over to see an officer shoving Elle into a seat, finally making him snap out of his trance.

"Okay, get me closer."

"What...what are you going to do?"

"Just trust me." Mr. Wilson speeds up, and comes just a little too close to the end of the bus. Nic rolls down the window, and carefully climbs out. He takes a deep breath, draws out Elle's fallen dagger, and jumps onto the side of the bus. He stabs the dagger into the iron, and uses it as his support.

"Holy shit...this thing is strong", he says to himself, testing the dagger's durability as of, it doesn't budge. Nic hangs on to the ledge of the window bar, and stabs the dagger higher. He climbs up using the window bars, and finally reaches to the top of the bus. He struggles to open the emergency hatch, as he uses the dagger to break the safety lock. He swings the hatch open, and hops into the bus.

" Hello officer", he casually states, smirking at the guard. Elle looks up in shock, while Nic notices her hands are restrained. The guard turns around, and quickly withdrew their taser stick. Nic tosses the dagger up, and throws it towards the guard's shoulder. He yells out in pain, and as a result, loses function in his arm, dropping the taser stick. Nic rushes over to pick it up, and stuns the guard for a few seconds, just before he knocks him out with the end of the stick. Another guard unlocks the protective door, and aims at Nic with a shotgun. Nic hits the gun with the taser stick, to which he makes the guard misfire. He tases him in the neck, making the guard fall on the ground, whilst he rapidly convulsed. Nic takes back the dagger, and begins frisking the guard. After finding the keys, he makes his way towards Elle, and unlocks her handcuffs.

"Elle?", he says, smiling at her.

" You came back for me...", she replies softly.

"Of course darling, why wouldn't I?" Nic pulls the cuffs off of her, whilst she simply smiles. Suddenly, she pushes Nic over, and flings her dagger to the rising guard. The dagger impales his face, killing the guard before he could ever get back up. The couple observes as the three prisoners look at them slightly startled, and somewhat puzzled.

"Uhh, hi guys", Nic nervously reacts, waving at them. He turns around, opens the window, and signals Mr. Wilson to come around.

"Time to get you out of here", he whispers to her.

" Wait, how?"

"You'll see", he replies, taking her by her hand, and leading her to the exit. Nic retrieves her dagger, whilst the bus driver observes the two, unsure what to do. The driver suddenly draws out a pistol, and Nic pushes Elle over, just in time for the driver to miss his shots. He grabs the nearby fire extinguisher, and throws it at the driver, knocking the pistol out from his grip. Nic snatches it, and aims the pistol at him.
