Chapter 1: "Exile on Main St."

One month since Sam went into the cage: Liz wakes up to Henry crying and Liz removes Dean's arm from her waist and goes to Henry. Liz picks up Henry and whispers, "Hey, buddy. What's wrong?" Liz bounces Henry on her hip and Henry calms down a little. Liz looks at the clock on the wall and says, "Crying at 5:00am. Well since we're both up, let's get ready for the day." Liz gets Henry ready and then herself.

Liz holds Henry on her hip, and they walk downstairs. Liz puts Henry in his highchair and then makes coffee. As Liz warms up Henry's milk, she hears footsteps come down the stairs. Dean yawns and says, "You know since we're not hunting. You don't have to wake so early to get ready." Liz looks at Dean and says, "Well, Henry was crying, and it takes me awhile to go back and he was already up. Why not?" Dean nods and says, "Alright, but you know I can help you fall asleep." Liz softly says, "I know." Liz takes Henry's bottle out of the warm water and says, "Would you like to fee Henry?" Dean smiles and says, "Yes." Liz gives Dean the bottle and then starts making breakfast for everyone. Then Winter comes down and they eat as a family. Liz says, "Okay, since we're all here. I think we need a family meeting." Winter says, "Okay, about what?" Liz says, "Okay, so school starts in September, and I was thinking I could work at your school. How would you feel about that Win?" Winter smiles and says, "I think that's a great idea." Dean says, "Okay, so, I was thinking of doing construction." Liz says, "Okay, everything is settled. Well except for Henry." Winter says, "What about daycare?" Liz says, "I want to work, and I want to be with Henry. I guess daycare would have to do." Dean says, "Okay, so I guess I can drive you both to school." Liz says, "Actually, you don't have to." Dean furrows his brows and says, "What do you mean?" Liz says, "Other than the house we're renting, I bought myself a car. I just have to pick it up today and while running other errands." Winter says, "Really? What kind of car?" Liz says, "You'll see when I pick it up, but Dean I do need you to drop me off." Dean nods and says, "Okay." As Dean and Liz are in the Impala with Henry in the middle of them, Dean says, "Okay, are you taking Henry with you?" Liz says, "Um, I have something else to do, so can you take him. There are a bunch of bottles in the fridge, so you don't have to worry about feeding him." Dean nods and says, "Okay." Dean then drops Liz off and drives home with Henry. Later, Liz comes home with the new car and a new look. Liz opens the door to the house and says, "I'm home." Winter comes in with Henry on her hip and says, "Wow, mom. I love the new hair." Liz smiles and says, "Thanks. I wanted a change, and it seems like the right time to do so." Henry starts crying and Liz grabs him from Winter and says, "Hey, no. I'm here." Liz sniffs Henry and says, "Looks like someone needs a change." Liz goes upstairs to Henry's room to find Dean building a shelf and she smiles and says, "Hey." Dean turns to Liz to see her new hair and says, "Hey, nice hair." Liz smiles and says, "Thanks." Liz places Henry on the changing table and changes him. Liz softly says, "Okay, then we're all done." Henry looks up with his big blue eyes and gurgles at his mom. Liz smiles and sighs in content. Winter comes up the stairs and into Henry's room and says, "So, I saw the car and it's nice." Liz says, "Thanks. I think it's better if we have two cars, you know?" Dean nods and says, "Yeah. I'm thinking about getting a truck for work. I just wanna leave the Impala in the garage under a sheet." Liz looks at Dean and says, "Yeah, I understand." Dean nods and says, "Okay."
