The water was calm today, calmer than it had ever been since the final battle against Gaea. It was a strange sense of calm, almost eerie. I had felt off all day, maybe it was Leo's shroud burning. Or maybe it was something else.
        Annabeth and I had been together for four years. I had gone through Tartarus and back with her. I loved her more than anything in the world, and lately we had been talking about the future, our future. Together. And I couldn't think of spending the rest of my life with anybody else.
