Trixie covered her ears with her puffy pillow, trying to protect herself from her parents' screams. She was shutting her eyes close, trying her best to ignore the insults and complaints of her mother. Even when it happened every time father came home at ten p.m, Trixie didn't seem to be able to get used to it. She wished it was like that, she wish she could sleep in peace, she wished she didn't have to turn the volume of her favorite TV show up because of the constant arguments. All those little things that Trixie never seemed to get. She laid on her bed with one foot out of the covers, letting it hang from the bed. Trixie felt a pinch on the base of her foot. At first, it burnt, it was like a drop of acid had just landed there. The next second she felt a cold or even freezing sensation on the now scar. Ow! She yelled and lifted her head to see what was going on. Trixie gasped at the view of a white-feathered creature, with sharp little teeth. It looked like a bizarre combination between a swan and a chicken, which was dipped in some kind of chemical that made it have three eyes and four legs. Trixie screamed as the creature ran to her open window, spreading its wings and flying away fastly.

Soon enough her parents ran to her room, worried about what might have happened to the little girl. When they arrived they asked Trixie what happened, if she had hurt herself or something hurt her. A monster! I saw a monster! It had three eyes! It bit me! Trixie shouted desperately for them to believe her. Her father scoffed and sighed, Her mother rolled her eyes. They didn't believe her, why would they? Monsters aren't real.

Trixie walked to her apartment, back from the coffee shop where she was a barista. Her life had become monotone, the same routine almost every day. Wake up, get ready, work, come home, get ready to sleep, sleep. The cycle repeated itself with the rare occasion of a free day where she would go out for a drink by herself, maybe try to match with someone while she was at it. Trixie took a few last sips of her coffee as she walked, speeding up the pace, knowing this was a night out since tomorrow she didn't have to work. As soon as the door of her apartment closed Trixie's clothes were on the couch and the shower was running.

She chose a purple loose dress, two silver chains keeping the dress from revealing Trixie's private zones, a beautiful open back let Trixie's back soft skin show. She went for a neutral color look, her black eyeliner and touch of white in her inner corner popping out. A mauve color covered her lips and a light blush adorned her cheeks. Silver jewelry and black high heels boots. Trixie lifted her voluptuous hair into a high teased ponytail, showing her naked back. Trixie left the house putting on some perfume, heading to the bar near her house.

Trixie went up to the bar and ordered a vodka soda, sitting on one of the high stools. She looked around for a bit before being handed the drink. After a few men attempted to catch the girl's attention, buying her drinks and bathing her in compliments another woman joined her. The woman had blonde platinum hair, not too short nor too long. She was wearing nice black jeans, a deep red T-shirt and a black unbuttoned shirt. She was wearing golden and black jewelry, the same red of the shirt was laid on her lips, her eyes were adorned by eyeliner and a bit of brown eyeshadow on the crease. Her blue orbs seemed to be staring into her soul.

"Hi." The woman spoke, smirking from the right side of her mouth.

"Hi," Trixie said while stirring her fourth free drink of the night. "You have intense eyes." Trixie was a bit tipsy.

"It's not the first time I get that" The woman laughed softly, lines forming around her eyes and mouth. "My name is Kate." Kate put the coke soda she had in her hand on the bar table.

"My name is Trixie, nice to meet you."

"I see you've got an audience." Kate gestured to the drinks waiting to be drunk next to Trixie.
