Chapter 3 - Renesmee - The Attor's Warning

I run down the hallway to the garden where I know feyre will be. I have to hold back tears. What am I becoming? What did I just say? I yelled at him. I said I was superior even though we are equals, mates, and soon-to-be husband and wife. My parents can't come here and see me like this! Then all I'll be doing is proving Jake right. I'm not ready to run a country. I can't even keep a relationship. I'm a mess, a mess that can't be fixed. I know secrets I shouldn't know. I have secrets no one else knows, and I'm 5 seconds away from jumping off a cliff. I just let it all out on Adrian, a person who I love & just wants to see me safe. All I do is hurt the people around me, I'm imprisoned in my own mind, the world is swirling around me, the garden turns into a graveyard, and a dark figure comes out from behind a gravestone. The dark creature comes out from behind the gravestone. The Attor.

" Hello, Hello my dear Queen " His voice is like ice. " What is it that brings you to me "

I don't say anything, I can't say anything.

" But of course " He continues " you aren't here by choice. No, the cauldron has brought you here but why "

He clicks his tongue and I stutter out.

" The cauldron? What that's... "

" Impossible " He cuts me off " no, no, no my dear queen nothing is impossible. For example, even though you are here in spirit I can still hurt you "

He moves towards me, dagger in hand. He swipes into me and I can not move but I look down and see the dagger peeking out of my stomach.

" I don't feel anything. "

" You won't not until you're back in the night court. "

" Then why. Why stab me you have no gain "

" Oh no, no, no, no, no my dear Renesmee, it isn't for gain its simply because I.. "

He takes a long pause & gently moves my hair out of my face then leans down and looks me in the eye & whispers his last phrase before I'm brought back to the night court.

" Oh no my dear Renesemee it's simply because I Can and soon I will be there to hurt you all with an army of the dead & the cauldron on my side "

" You Petty bitch " I say but I'm already lying in the garden, pain overwhelming me.

" Oh my god " Cassian yells

My vision is blurry and as I feel pressure on my wound I scream. I steam a scream that is tortured and angry sacred and cowardly.

" Nessie " Cassian says calmly " don't worry we'll fix "

Then he looks up and yells at probably someone he saw

" Rhys! Get your ass over here Ness has been stabbed "

Rhys comes into my field of vision and my scream has turned into a whimper. Then Rhys looks down at me and says in a quiet voice.

" Adrian is coming he went out flying but he'll be back in a second, who did this to you?! "

I try to get out words but I can't.

" Ness " Rhys says again " Who did this to you? "

My eyes are closing. I'm fading in & out and I just barely get the words out.

" The Attor. ''Rhys's eyes grow in shock blood is in my mouth and I choke the final words out

" The Attor is coming with an army and the cauldron I'm sorry " Then life leaves my body, and I drift away watching Cassian and Rhs holding my dead body.
