Chapter 6 - Rhysand - Morning Conversations

" Where's Feyre? " Cassian asked me when I walked into the dining hall

" Mama! " Nyx squeals when he hears Feyres name and his wings open and he tries to fly off my shoulder he even gets to the door before he is intercepted by Armen.

" Oh shit, he's in trouble! " Cassian says in my mind " You should do something say something "

" Why do I have to say something! " I respond

" He's your kid! "

" Well, We well know what happens when Armen Catches someone breaking the rules, even Nyx! " I practically yell back.

" Well, " Cassian says " The kid was fun to have around "

" Nyx... " Armen says. Cassian flinches at her voice " Nyx what are the rules? "

Nyx looks up & lists the 3 rules well the two rules we have him and the last one i'm not sure.

" 1. No Flying in the house or without daddy, Mummy, or aunties or uncles.

2. Listen to mum & dad & don't go anywhere without them

3. Auntie Armen is my favorite aunt. "

On the last rule, Cassians snorts a laugh but a quick death stare from Armen shuts him up.

" Nyx let's go play in the garden, " Armen says Nyx nods and walks out of the room.

They leave and I sit at the table with Cassian.

" How's Nesta? " I inquire because Nesta has been staying at the house of wind with Elain for the past few months.

" She's recovering, " Cassian says " but getting better there are days it's hard but she's working on adjusting without the magic and adjusting....How's Feyre? "

" The world goes silent sometimes her pain I feel through the bond constantly the sadness the blame she feels sometimes she blocks me out completely sometimes the bond goes silent more silent than it's ever been sometimes I have to dig to find her sometimes I dig and dig but she isn't there even when I'm right next to her she isn't there sometimes. Renesmee was more than a friend to her, Ness was a lifeline. "

" But you're her mate? " Cassian says.

" I May be her mate, I may be Feyre's soul but Renesme, no Renesmee was her heart and her mind. Renesmee was her escape, an escape Feyre hadn't felt for a long time. They had both gone through the same things, they had both felt the same pain they were each other's escapes. Ness was something I could never be a family. "

" But your her family " Cassian argued

" Don't lie to yourself Cassian, you know Renesmee was a different kind of family to Feyre, she was a different kind of family to all of us. "

I look down.

" Feyre hasn't said a word since Ness died. She just sits there... If I try to comfort her or even touch her she uses magic to hurt herself. "

" Hurt...Hurt herself? " Cassian whispers " In what way? "

" She makes the feeling of being tourchered & cut. "

" What about Nyx? What did you tell him? "

" I haven't told him anything Armen has been taking care of him "

Cassian stands abruptly and starts moving out of the room.

" Where are you going? "

He simply looks at me.

" KNow one has told her parents "
