Chapter 1

Leona POV

As the fire ran wild in the house I desperately ran to get away from it. The dark black smoke comes in close and made it hard for me to breathe. While the hot flames make my blood boil. My head feels dizzy as I look for the way out and with a loud thug.

I woke up as I fell to the ground from the bed. The sunlight shining bright made my eye hurt. My head hurts from falling off the bed Hi, my name is Leona wade. I am 18. I like to read, I love to draw most because it makes me calm and happy. As for my family, I lost my mom and dad when I was very little in a fire. I don't remember having a sibling or any other relatives. So, I live on my own in a small apartment. I don't have friends but I do have a very amazing secret. But most people are scared of it. Oh, shoot speaking of ability I am late for work.

After taking a quick bath, getting dressed, and fixing my hair I headed out. Everyone in my neighborhood is amazing, friendly, and nice. They are all like family to me. And no one hurts them. I was brought back to reality as someone bumped into me. I looked to see the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. With messy blond hair, he didn't wait to introduce himself as he walked past me, I watched as he disappears into the crowd of people. As my phone rang I came back to reality. I checked my phone to see my boss was calling, looks like I am late and I might have another mission to get to "where are u?". He screamed from the other end of the phone. "I am on my way. "I answered and ended the call before he could answer. I hurried to the company. I had a feeling this is going to be a long day.

After walking for like another 15 min I finally reached the company as soon as I settled in my seat someone dragged me to the CEO's room. I entered the room without bothering to knock on the door. I mean they did drag me here as soon as I came in. "you are late Leona!" my CEO screamed. "Yeah, I know James u don't need to scream "I replied. "You know u need to start showing me a little respect don't you" he replied with a deadly stare that he thinks would scare me. But he is so mistaken. I care very less about what the hell he says and he isn't scary not one bit. I rolled my eyes and looked at him "you and I both know that's not happening ... James "I answered. He opened his mouth to reply but he didn't say anything but just kept looking at me. I got irritated and glared at him. "Why did you drag me here the minute I got here?" I asked getting annoyed every second I have to stand here and look at his face. "Oh yeah, I forgot I got another mission for you! Also..." "Where am I going? And who am I hunting this time? And what am I to do when I find this person do I bring him alive or kill him. "I asked in a hurry. I was getting excited to go on another hunt. I wanted to know more about this mission. "You might want to calm down a bit Leona. This won't be the same kind of mission u always go on "he told me. With that my smile and my hunger to see blood went down. "What do u mean by that?" I asked him. "You always like to work alone but most of us have at least one partner when they go on missions...... So, what I am trying to say is you are going to be in a team and that you will do so as it without any problem." James told me. I rolled my eyes. "Fine explain to me what kind of mission is this, "I asked. "Undercover mission no killing not unless it's necessary and this is a very delicate mission not like the ones you always go on and that is why you are a part of a team... you can't handle this kind of missions. Cause you need to be patient and that's not your strong suit." He explained calmly. "Who are we infiltrating? I asked "the other side our number one enemy. The new gang named Dawn" James said. One question after another kept coming to my mind. "Why? I thought you already send spies to spy on them why are u sending more of us there? Also, I don't do this kind of mission you know that I hate deceiving people, I like to look them in the eye and tell them the truth and kill them or torture them. can't you send someone else besides me not only this you expect me to work in a team you know exactly why I don't work with people because they end up dead". I screamed in his face. "LEONA! SHUT UP! I AM RISKING THE LIVES OF 4 OF OUR PEOPLE AND I AM NOT SO PLEASED WITH THIS PLAN TOO. BUT I HAVE NO CHOICE. THEY HAVE FOUND OUR SPIES AND THEY HAVE KILLED THEM AND THIS IS THE ONLY WAY. YOU ARE OUR BEST ASSASSIN HERE I DON'T WANT TO SEND YOU BUT THIS IS THE ONLY CHOICE WE HAVE TO GET RID OF THOSE ANNOYING BASTERDS" James shouted back at me. I looked at his face to see how serious he was. Looks like I don't have a choice in the matter. "Fine" I replied. So, who am I working with" I hissed those words out? "Liam black, Noah White, Emma White, and Olivia jones." James calmly replied. My eyes were about to pop out of my head he was teaming me up with the most annoying people in this whole place. I hate them. Emma is a complete bitch. Olivia is just a know-all and doesn't get me started on the boys. The last time they got close to me I beat the crap out of them. "WHY THEM. I DON'T WANT TO" Before I could complain James looked at me and said "you better calm down you have no choice in this. And this is your only option. And go and get ready to head out on the mission you only have a day to get ready. You will need to be at the train station before 8 am. I am not going to listen to you complain." I stood up from my chair and walked to the door. Holding the door handle I opened it before going out I stopped and looked at James and said "you better tell those 4 idiots not to piss me off. Or you might need to find new people. No matter what you say they cross the line or piss me up. I will kill them. "After that, I worked out of the room without waiting for him to reply.
