Chapter 2

Andrew POV

As I walked the street of Evergreen town. I wondered why anyone in my gang thought that the Midnight gang's base was located here. Everything here is so ordinary. The cheerful people and the bright sun not one assassin or an agent insight. Hi! My name is Andrew Archer. I am 20 years old and I am an agent or a member of the gang known as Dawn. I am at Evergreen village trying to track our enemy's base and also on another top-secret mission to find one of the most important and powerful guardian who also happened to be the lost princess. So far I am failing at both missions. I was so focused on where I was going I bumped into a girl with brunet hair and emerald green eyes. Woah! she is pretty. but as I was not having a good day so I decided to ignore her and continue my search.

After walking for about an hour I came across a quiet little cafe I decided it was about time to take a break I had been searching around this place since 6 in the morning. And I better find something before I meet up with the others. I went into the café and was greeted by the loveliest people. Maybe I might be able to get some information from here I thought. I sat down in the farthest and most unnoticeable place in the whole café. "Hello! My name is Anna. Welcome to the Sunnyside café. What can I get you?". A waiter came and asked. "Hi! I would like a coke and a spicy burger please". I replied. "Coming right up "she answered and felt. I looked around the café but not many people were there. I took out my phone and messaged my team to see if they had made any progress within minutes I got replies and no one seemed to have made any progress. What a disappointment. I thought. Where would they be hiding? "There you go one coke and one spicy burger" the waiter came and gave me my food. "Thank you!" I replied. She gave me a nice smile and turned around. "Wait. Can I ask you some questions I am new in town and I would like to know more about this town Please?" I asked. "Sure! I don't have tables to wait I can help you." She turned around and answered. "Thank you so much," I said she sat down in front of my table. "So, what is that you would like to know Mr.? Umm sorry I didn't catch your name. "She asked sweatily. "My name is Andrew. I am traveling from town to town to see new magical and adventurous places." I introduced I never give out my last name. "So as I was saying I want to know is there anything weird and mysterious or dangerous places in this town like the other towns I have been in?" I asked her as I took a bite out of my spicy burger. "To tell you the truth this is a very strange town. Everyone seems very happy and nice around here". She replied. "Are you not from around here? "I asked as I kept eating my food. "No, I moved here with my fiancé just a few months ago". She answered. "Oh. Congratulations on being engaged he is a very lucky guy and thank you for your information," I replied as I finished eating and packed up the coke bottle for later. I paid for my food and gave her a tip and walked toward the door. "I almost forgot. There is a forest in the far east that everyone in this town avoids I have not remembered seeing anyone who went in there and people have told me not to go there no matter what because of the wild animals and other things. If you are looking for an adventure I say go there. But be careful "she said taking out my plates and going back to the counter. "Thank you I will keep that in mind. Bye! "I replied as I walked out of the door and walked to the east side I am curious to see this forest. This place must be very dangerous if everyone is avoiding it. I can't wait to explore. I walked for about an hour I finally came to the entrance of the forest. I took out my phone and messaged my comrades that I might be late for the meeting. But I have a feeling I am going to have fun exploring this forest. I put my phone back into my pocket and walked in.

After I walked for a few minutes I was getting bored until I heard the howl of a wolf and the sound of wild animals. I started to run it felt great to run around free and wild in a place where no one could see me. I jumped high into the air and landed on a tree trunk and started to jump from tree to tree to stay away from any wolf wolves or any other animal. I kept jumping around and going deep and deep into the forest. I didn't know where I was going until I came to a bright opening. I got down from the trees to see a meadow. It looked like I was in the middle of the forest. I guess this is what is so special about this town. The secret meadow of the evergreen no one has been able to find this place in years. I walked into the meadow this is amazing it felt so good to walk in this place it was beautiful and calm. I walked deep into the field of flowers I sat down near to watch the lake and watched the sun reflect the lake it was truly beautiful and one of the most peaceful places I have been to. I noticed that there was no other presence besides me. I guess even the wild animals avoid this place.
