Chapter 10

Andrew POV

I woke up early in the morning before the sun was out it's been 2 weeks since I met Leona. and so many things have happened. I walked to the bathroom to gets ready to head out to meet Alex to get the information on where I am taking Leona for the training. Now it's been 2 weeks since the training has began and her powers are getting stronger. We need to change location before they find her and take her.

I think it will be better to train unnoticed. But with her powers it's very surreal. The dark side might find her. Maybe it's better to take her to the other demintion that I trained. Only there are no other people there. And it is unpredictable. Alex will know which place is best. Now I am heading to the base with I coffee I grabbed from my favorite café'. When I reached there to my surprise Leona was outside. She had a towel on her neck and sweat marks on her gray shirt. it looked like she went on an early morning run. I hid behind the nearest tree I could find. I don't want her to see me. I watched as she leans on a tree and covers her face with the towel. She pats the towel on her face softly and exhales loudly. She looked stunning. Her height is high but her head would only reach my shoulder. I liked that about her tall but still shorter than me. She bends to her sides and starts running again. I couldn't help but follow her. What did I come here for even? I don't remember. Must not be important. To be unnoticed I checked the distance between us. And waited till she could be 4 to 5 blocks away. I chucked my coffee and put on my mask. I followed her carefully. Without losing track of her. I still had my empty coffee cup so I jog to the side of the path and dump it in the dustbin. Not 5 seconds could have been there. But I turned around and great. I lost Leona. To see a possible escape route I scanned the area and there seemed to be none. I hear the leaves rustle behind me but there was no wind. Heh. I can't believe the training is working so well. I turn around and Leona comes flying at me she had a blade on her hand. Oh no u don't. I smile as I dodge the attack. "So it was you who was spying on me" she moves forward slowly taking out the second blade. I dropped my bag and summon my sword. Too bad she can't see my face. Now that she knows about the magic there is no need i hide it. "well well well. I am impressed. You not only did out run me. But you noticed I was there. Of cause! I wasn't trying to conceal my presence in anyway possible. But for a normal person it could have been difficult to find me out. I believe the training is helping you. Don't you think so?" She gives me an attractive smirk "yes it is of help. But you know what. You remind me of someone. Someone I've met before" she says as she slowly walk forward. "Is that so? Who could this guy you speak of be then?" I say as I step back away from her. But now we were circling each other ready to attack at any given moment. She smiled weirdly and answered "someone I met a while ago. Weirdly both have the same eyes, the same hair. And almost the exactly the same voice. But I doubt you are him" that caught me by surprise, she remembers me "what makes you think I am not him?" I followed. She rolls her eyes and reply quickly "because he was not as skilled as you" and then she jumps a me. I nearly had time to give a comeback. Of cause I dodge it easily. But this time pushed her back with force on her shoulder. She inhales and exhales loudly and she hold her ground. I guess that run had a toll on her. She is still a women I thought. "I'll go was on you. You seem out of shape" I announced. "I don't need you to" she bites back as she rubs the sweat of off her forehead. "Fine by me" but I can't help it but go easy on her. this is going to be fun I though as I changed my sword into twin blade to be on the same level as her. Which surprised Leona. I had a feeling I needed the twin blades more than one sword anyway and this time I attacked. we fought for what seemed an hour. At one point I hurt her shoulder with one of my blades. And in one of her attempts, she got a scratch on my leg.

We ended the fight as a draw like the first fight. She was not happy when I called for a draw. By the time we finished the fight it was already past 9. We were supposing to leave for her training at 8. When we got back Alex's face looked like it was going to explode. But the moment he saw us his face was full of concern and it coved the anger. He walked over to us and asked "what the hell happened to you two?" I looked at him and looked at Leona and asked her to explain. What can I do she we both were panting. I was wheezing. That coffee was not a good idea. "well, I am waiting for an answer!" Alex ordered. I again directed Leona to answer his question and she made an annoyed noise and rolled her eyes. She bends down and supports her body weight by holding her knees. And reply "This creepy idiot over here was spying on me after I got back from my morning run. So, I beat his ass up." he answered. I looked at her in pure shock. this girl is unbelievable I thought. "well Andy I never though you are that kind of person." Alex said looking at me like I was a criminal. "No she could not beat me up" I added. And Leona hissed. But I see him looking at me with one eye brow raised waiting for an answer. "I...I ..." that's was all I could get out when Alex raised his hand and stopped me. He gave me a look that was same as the one he would give one of the people from the other side. "You did the right thing Leona. I am proud of you. now if you will please get your wounds treated and get ready to leave in an hour for your training. Get some food in your system also say good bye to your friends, you will not be able to see them for a while" Alex said. "Yes sir." Leona said as she smirked at me and walked away. As soon as Leona was out of ear reach Alex glared at me and punched my shoulder. It was not friendly.. "Ouch. Why did you do that?" I screamed at him. "You know what you did. You where suppose be here an hour ago! you two were supposed to be long gone. But instead, you are here drooling all over her and picking fights" Alex lectured. "Ok I get it. but in some way, you can think of this as training too and am I that obvious?" I replied to him. Alex shook his head and pointed his to the base door. "You get in now. Go clean up pack your bag and get ready you will be going to mystery isle" Alex confirmed. I looked at him in disbelief "are you kidding me? you want me to train her in that dimension? That's one of the most dangerous once there are. You should know better than anyone how unpredictable and dangerous the magic in that dimension is. You never know what kind of weather it is there either. I was the only one..." I rushed to finish but he cut me off. "oh but that's why it's perfect for her to go there, her magic will soon go out of control and its best when she is also in an unpredictable environment. That's how her mom also controlled her powers." Alex explained. "I know but I don't like this one bit" I told him "Well remember that's what I said to you when you went there did you listen to me? and here you are stronger than anyone and more prepared. If it'll put you at ease you will also be there right. You will protect her. I know you will. you can. Don't doubt it" he reassured me. "Now go and get ready" he said. "Yes sir!" I said. as I walked away from him still thinking if this really is the best. I walked to medical wing hoping to see Leona. But she was nowhere in sight. I got my wounds treated and I went to my room. I took a shower; I packed my bags. I went to the kitchen and grabbed some food. I got to Alex office to see that Leona was already there she had everything she brought it the base. With her. Guess she didn't have time to unpack with everything that happened.
