Leona POV
After I told Liam not to follow me I found my way to the forest. And I thought to myself. Liam has been a bit off lately he has been giving quite but firm responses to me. But he don't tlk like he used to. Not as loud. Well good for me I thought as I stretched my arm out, After a few minutes of starching I looked behind to check if no one was following me when I was sure no one was I walked into the forest. I started running straight and deep into the forest. I decided to stick to the group and not jump from tree to tree as I got deeper and deeper into the forest it became dense and I could sense wild animals lurking in the shadows. But what was driving me more and more further in to the forest was a more powerful force. I could sense a much wilder beast coming my way as I slowed down I took the small knife I had packed in my bag. I threw my back pack on the ground. I began to move more carefully. I smiled getting excited, looked around me to see if anyone was there. Just like I thought there was someone siting on the tree in front of me. Suddenly he jumped down as if he sensed my presence. He slowly walked to where I was. So I didn't wait another second .I ran and attacked him. With ease he blocked my attack. Looked a bit slow but it was not.. I wanted to see the fighters face but he had his face covered with a mask. My knife and this sword clashed hard as I tried to win. But soon we both jumped away from each other, I looked to where he stood. This guy was definitely strong. I toweled the knife in my hand as I smiled knowing the challenge. I ran then ran at him again and again, attacked him but with ease he blocked my attack again. This time I didn't stop my attack I kept on attacking fast and hard. It was like as if he could read my moves. My patience was running out as he didn't attack me back and kept dodging. With each second that went by as he was predicting my moves. He moves like the water in the lake. The moment I attacked out of frustration I made a mistake he took that chance to counter attacked. He grabbed hold of my arm where the knife was. Next he hit me on my gut with his elbow trying to knock me out. I fell backwards from his attack. His hit was hard and painful it almost knocked me out. But I was not going to give up. This was the first time in a mission I am having difficulties in fighting. I slowly got back up to my feet as my mystery opponent put his sword away. And got in a stance of hand to hand combat.
I smiled weakly as I closed my eyes for a few second and took a deep breath. Dropped my wapon. I curled my hands into a fist as I ran to him and attacked. He blocked my fist and held my arm again and back flipped me. My back hit the ground. I was taken by surprise. I quickly responded as he was letting go off my arm by hitting him on the feet. Taking the sword he had put away. He hit the ground hard and fast. It felt has if time was moving faster than the speed of lighting. I watch as he gets up slowly from the ground and that's when I move at him with his own sword ready to kill. I attacked without hesitation. I aimed straight for his vital spot. But again he read my movements like it was nothing. With his arms he moved the sword and avoided the attack. He then grabbed my hand and pulled me closer to him. I looked him in the eye. And that was the first time I notice his eyes. They were Ice blue. They sparkled in the moon light. My eyes grew wide as I looked at the eyes remembering Andrew. It can't be him I thought. It must be someone else. My thoughts were interrupted as his face came closer to mine. He was fast very fast. He held my hands hard and I struggled to get free. But I kept failing at it. He came more close to my face and I started to panic. This is unbelievable I thought. I have never struggled in a fight. Are the people in the dawn gang this strong and smart to be able to predict my movements? He moves a little closer and looked me dead in the eyes. But right now our noses are almost touching just half an inch. But he looks away and let go off me. I dropped the sword and fell backward surprised how easy he defeated me. He took his sword that was on the ground and puts it away and speaks "follow me. You pass." "What do u mean I pass?" I asked still shocked. He didn't answer as he began to run. I quickly took my backpack that I had thrown and ran after him. "Woah! He is fast." I could barely keep up. "hey!". I called out as I finally caught up to him a little. "What do u mean I passed? Does everyone go through this when they are to join?" I asked. He didn't answer me. He speeds up again. Not too long after we reached an opening. We arrived the base. "It was well hidden no wonder why they can't find the base. I wonder how they found out the dawn gang was recruiting? I kept wondering, there are too many unanswered questions involved in this. Normally I never question a mission but I am very suspicious of this one. "Wait here till the others arrive." Said the mysteries masked fighter as he led me inside and walked away.
