It was the start of the first race of the Piston Cup 2011 Season. And there were all 52 racers there. There was also mysterious newcomer on the track as well.
The race started and Lightning McQueen was in the lead.
The racers had went through 499 laps and Lightning McQueen was still in the lead.
"Another great finish in the making! McQueen and Ford, nose to nose!" Bob Cutlass said.
"How's the view back there, Oregon?!" Lightning McQueen asked.
"Haha! You better not blink! I'll blow right pass you!" Oregon Ford said.
"The flag is up! It's the final stretch! McQueen in the lead!" Bob Cutlass said.
"Okay, let's see what you got!" Lightning McQueen said.
The rookie racer races passed the top ten cars in ten seconds.
"Holy cow!" Darrell Cartrip said.
"It's Jackson Storm for the win! A huge upset!" Bob Cutlass said.
"Neither Lightning or Oregon ever saw it coming!" Darrell Cartrip said.
"It's one thing to start but we haven't seen anyone cross the line with that kind of speed and power ever since a young Lightning McQueen first arrived on the scene.
Lightning McQueen, Oregon Ford and Ivan Smoke went to the big screen and saw the new rookie on it.
"Oregon, who's that?" Lightning McQueen asked.
"That's, um, Jackson Storm." Oregon Ford said.
"Yeah, he's one of the rookies." Ivan Smoke said.
"Hey, Jackson!" A reporter said.
"Thank you! I appreciate it! Thank you!" Jackson Storm said.
Lightning McQueen went to Jackson Storm.
"Hey, Jackson Storm, right? Great race, today!" Lightning McQueen said.
"Wow, thank you, Mr. McQueen! You have no idea what a pleasure it is for me to finally beat you!" Jackson Storm said.
"Oh, thanks. Ha...Ha... Wait. Did you say "meet" or beat"?" Lightning McQueen said.
"I think you heard me." Jackson Storm said.
"What?" Lightning McQueen said.
"Jackson, could we get a picture?" A photographer asked.
Jackson Storm changed his tone.
"Yeah, yeah, let's get a picture. You know what? Get a ton of pictures because Champ here has been a role model of mine for years. And I mean, a lot of years, right?" Jackson Storm said.
"I love this guy!" Jackson Storm said while Lightning McQueen looked at him with a glare because he reminded of himself when he was a rookie.
Then Jackson Storm drives forward and then turns left and then stops while the press was still taking pictures of him.
Then Jackson Storm drives backwards and then turns and then stops while the press was still taking pictures of him.
Then Jackson Storm backs up into his trailer while the press was still taking pictures of him.
"I think I touched a nerve!" Jackson Storm said
Then Jackson Storm's trailer closed and Gale drives away.
That was shocking. Now, Lightning McQueen will have to face an arrogant, hotshot rookie racer. And how will Jackson Storm impact the 2011 season of the Piston Cup Racing Season? Find out in the next chapter!
