Chapter 10: Lightning McQueen Vs. Jackson Storm

It was the start of the first race of the Piston Cup 2012 Season in the Florida International Speedway.
"Welcome to Racing's Greatest Day! We're beachside at the Florida International Speedway to kick off a new season of Piston Cup Racing! It's the Florida 500!" Bob Cutlass said.
"53 cars and a quarter million fans await today's contest of strategy, skill, and most of all, speed! This crowd is in for one great day of racing!" Darrell Cartrip said.
"I'm Bob Cutlass, joined as always by my broadcasting partner, Darrell Cartrip, and stat sensation, Natalie Certain." Bob Cutlass said.
"I've never seen the numbers line up for Storm as they do today, Bob. Storm should be 96.8% unstoppable." Natalie Certain said.
"Well, don't overlook Lightning McQueen." Darrell Cartrip said.
"We've heard stories of the strange training McQueen went to get here. The question is will it work?" Bob Cutlass said.
Then they called all the racers to the track.
Then Mack knocked on Lightning's McQueen trailer door.
"Boss, they're calling all racers to the track." Mack said.
Then Lightning McQueen's trailer door opened and then Lightning McQueen went outside and went to his pit crew.
"Listen, you will do great today." Sally said.
Then Jackson Storm came up to Lightning McQueen.
"Hey, Champ. I thought that this time was for your vacation. Or do you want me to bring your vacation, Champ? See you later, Champ." Jackson Storm said.
Then Jackson Storm left the area.
"Don't listen to his bullying, Lightning. Just do the best you can." Sally said.
Then all the racers went to the starting line and Lightning McQueen was in the last position.
"Hey, just keep focus on the race." Chuck said, while getting on the crew chief stand.
"Thanks, Chuck." Lightning McQueen said.
"Now, go make Hudson proud!" Chuck said.
"You got it!" Lightning McQueen said.
"Boogity Boogity Boogity! Let's go racing!" Darrell Cartrip said.
Then the race started with the racers beginning in the position that they finished the Los Angeles 500 in.
Lightning McQueen was moving up to 18 position in 50 laps.
"Lightning McQueen is making steady progress in the early parts of this race!" Bob Cutlass said.
"Well, it won't be enough to catch Storm." Natalie Certain said.
"Considering he started dead last, I don't think he's doing half bad out there!" Darrell Cartrip said.
During turn three to turn four in the 50th lap, Ash Wonderful passed Jackson Storm and is now in first place but Jackson Storm passed Ash Wonderful and he was back in first place.
Then Lightning McQueen was trying to pass Carnelian SkyLifter but Carnelian SkyLifter blocked him.
Then Lightning McQueen passed Carnelian SkyLifter while Carnelian SkyLifter glared at him.
Then Lightning McQueen was trying to pass Turtle SeaRaiser but Turtle SeaRaiser blocked him.
Then Lightning McQueen passed Turtle SeaRaiser while Turtle SeaRaiser glared at him.
Then Lightning McQueen was trying to pass Kinkajou RainBooster but Kinkajou RainBooster blocked him.
Then Lightning McQueen passed Kinkajou RainBooster while Kinkajou RainBooster glared at him.
Then Lightning McQueen was trying to pass Qibli SandHoister but Qibli SandHoister blocked him.
Then Lightning McQueen passed Qibli SandHoister while Qibli SandHoister glared at him.
Then Lightning McQueen was trying to pass Moonwatcher NightHeaver but Moonwatcher NightHeaver blocked him.
Then Lightning McQueen passed Moonwatcher NightHeaver while Moonwatcher NightHeaver glared at him.
Then Lightning McQueen was trying to pass Winter IceHefter but Winter IceHefter blocked him.
Then Lightning McQueen passed Winter IceHefter while Winter IceHefter glared at him.
Then Lightning McQueen was trying to pass Lirona LightRiser but Lirona LightRiser blocked him.
Then Lightning McQueen passed Lirona LightRiser while Lirona LightRiser glared at him.
Then Lightning McQueen was trying to pass Dorono DarkSoarer but Dorono DarkSoarer blocked him.
Then Lightning McQueen passed Dorono DarkSoarer while Dorono DarkSoarer glared at him.
Lightning McQueen was now in the tenth position while on the 99 lap.
Then Lightning McQueen heard a sound and asked "What's that sound?" and then he realized that it was his tires and said "It's my tires! That sound means that they are going to pop soon! I been so busy training for the race that I forgot to change my tires before the race started! I better change my tires before they popped!" so Lightning McQueen went into pit row and stopped in his pit zone and Guido changed his tires and he drove out of pit row and was back in last place.
Lightning was getting discouraged.
Then the racers went through 150 more laps
Bruce Miller swerved too quickly and lost control.
"Lost control at turn three! Lost control at turn three! Prepare to dodge!" Chuck said, while Bruce Miller loses control and then hits Cal Weathers.
Then Cal Weathers hits Bobby Swift.
Then Bobby Swift hits Brick Yardley.
Then Brick Yardley hits Stone Breaker.
Then Stone Breaker hits Carl Clutchen and Brick Yardley hits Reb Meeker.
Then Bobby Swift hits Dino Draftsky and Cal Weathers hits Markus Kranzler.
Then Carl Clutchen hits Rex Revler and Reb Meeker hits Jimmy Cables.
Then Dino Draftsky hits Speedy Comet and Markus Kranzler hits Brian Spark.
Then Stone Breaker hits Donald GoFlow and Brick Yardley hits Jack DePost.
Then Bobby Swift hits Buck Bearingly and Cal Weathers hits Phil Tankson.
Then Bruce Miller hits Terry Kargas.
Then Bruce Miller hits Chip Gearings.
Then Bruce Miller hits Dud Throttleman.
Then Bruce Miller hits Ralph Carlow.
Then Cal Weathers hits Todd Marcus.
Then Cal Weathers hits Tommy Highbanks.
Then Stone Breaker hits Murray Clutchburn.

"A huge crash behind the leaders!" Bob Cutlass said.
The crowd gasped.
Then Lightning McQueen dodged Cal Weathers by going left, dodged Bobby Swift by going right, dodged Brick Yardley by going slightly left, dodged Stone Breaker by going slightly right, dodged Carl Clutchen and Reb Meeker by curving left, dodged Dino Draftsky and Markus Kranzler by curving right, dodged Rex Revler and Jimmy Cables by a sharp left, dodged Speedy Comet and Brian Spark by a sharp right, and dodged Bruce Miller by slowing down and go with the flow.
Then the racers finished the 250 lap.
Then the yellow flag was out and all the racers went into pit row.
"The yellow flag is out! The pit row is open! And everybody is coming in!" Darrell Cartrip said.
Then all the racers went into their pit zone.
Then the nurse and doctors checked on the veterans who were involved in the crash caused by Bruce Miller.
"I'm sorry, veterans. But you are too damaged to finished the race. You all, except for Lightning McQueen, cannot go back out there." The nurses said.
"I'm sorry for making us all crash. Now, we will have to retire because of me!" Bruce Miller said.
"It's okay, Bruce. We know you didn't mean to cause the crash. Besides, we don't have to retire yet. All we can count on is for Lightning McQueen to win the race!" Cal Weathers said.
Then the seventeen racers drove out of pit row while Lightning McQueen was getting his tires changed and getting gas and finished the 251 lap.
"You have to beat the pace car out there." Chuck said.
Then Lightning McQueen drove out of pit row and beat the pace car and finished the 251 lap.
Then Lightning McQueen caught up to Turtle SeaRaiser and Carnelian SkyLifter.
The green flag was up and all the racers on the track can go back to racing.
Then all racers finished the 252 lap.
Then the racers went through 238 more laps and Lightning McQueen was in tenth place.
"I just want to let you know! McQueen is moving up toward you!" Ray Reverham said.
"Why should I care?!" Jackson Storm asked.
"Because now he's in the top ten!" Ray Reverham answered.
Then Lightning McQueen passed Gary Garter.
Then Lightning McQueen passed Rubble Bulldose.
Then Lightning McQueen passed Rocky Fixer.
Then the racers finished 2 more laps.
Then Lightning McQueen passed Zuma WaterRider.
Then Lightning McQueen passed Tracker JungleSearcher.
Then the racers finished 2 more laps.
"Now, you're coming up to the leaders." Chuck said.
Then Lightning McQueen passed Skye WindPusher who looked at him in shock that Lightning McQueen was passing her.
"McQueen up to fourth!" Ray Reverham said.
"In fourth, huh?!" Jackson Storm said.
Then Jackson Storm looks at the screen and see Lightning McQueen passing Everest FreezeSkater who was looking at Lightning McQueen in shock that he was passing her.
"McQueen is in third!" Ray Reverham said.
Then Jackson Storm had an upset face and purposely slowed down to second place which Ash Wonderful noticed but Ash Wonderful went back to being focused on the race.
"What are you doing, Storm?" Chuck asked.
Then Jackson Storm got next to Lightning McQueen.
Then Jackson Storm looks at him.
"Hey, Champ! So you still think that you still have it in you!" Jackson Storm said.
"Don't pay any attention to him, Lightning." Chuck said.
"So, let me make this clear. You might think that you still have it in you but you don't!" Jackson Storm said.
Lightning McQueen had a Heroic BlueScreenOfDeath.
Then Everest FreezeSkater passed Lightning McQueen.
Then Skye WindPusher passed Lightning McQueen.
"Don't let him get in your head, kid. If you can't outrace him, outthink him." Chuck said.
Then the racers finished 5 more laps.
"How far back is he now?!" Jackson Storm asked mockingly.
"Just four mini-miles behind you!" Ray Reverham said.
"What?!" Jackson Storm said.
"Good evening, Storm!" Lightning McQueen said.
"Wait! How did you-?" Jackson Storm asked.
"Just back here copying on your butt! Nothing to be concerned about!" Lightning McQueen said.
Then Jackson Storm tries to go faster and kept changing lines to prevent Lightning McQueen from copying but Lightning McQueen was still copying him. Lightning McQueen laughs.
"This is fun!" Lightning McQueen said.
"Would you stop copying me?! You're taking me off my line!" Jackson Storm said.
Then Lightning McQueen passed the line were on the 500th lap.
"Last lap!" Chuck said.
"Come on, Lightning!" Mater said.
"Uh oh! It looks like my GPS is saying that I have slow traffic in my way!" Lightning McQueen said.
"No, no, you are not winning this!" Jackson Storm said, frustratingly.
"Ah, you're frustrated!" Lightning McQueen said.
"I am not frustrated!" Jackson Storm said, frustratingly.
"You know, you can use the frustration to power through!" Lightning McQueen said.
"I said I'm not frustrated!" Jackson Storm, very frustratingly.
Then Lightning McQueen stops copying Jackson Storm and tries to go outside but Jackson Storm blocks him.
"Oh, I don't think so!" Jackson Storm said, frustratingly.
Then Lightning McQueen goes inside and tries to pass Jackson Storm.
But Jackson Storm looks to his left and sees Lightning McQueen almost passing him.
"No!" Jackson Storm said, frustratingly.
Then Jackson Storm slams Lightning McQueen and Lightning McQueen skidded out into the outfield.
Then Lightning McQueen uses drifting and caught up to Jackson Storm again and then drove faster and won the race with Jackson Storm in second place, Ash Wonderful in third place, Everest FreezeSkater in fourth place, Skye WindPusher in fifth place, Tracker JungleSearcher in sixth place, Zuma WaterRider in seventh place, Rocky Fixer in eighth place, Rubble Bulldoze in ninth place, Gary Garter in tenth place, Darono DarkSoarer in eleventh place, Lirona LightRiser in twelfth place, Winter IceHefter in thirteenth place, Moonwatcher NightHeaver in fourteenth place, Qibli SandHoister in fifteenth place, Kinkajou RainBooster in sixteenth place, Turtle SeaRaiser in seventeenth place, and Carnelian SkyLifter in eighteenth place.
"I don't believe it! It's Lightning McQueen for the win!" Bob Cutlass said.
"I am speechless!" Darrell Cartrip said.
Everyone cheered for Lightning McQueen's win.
Then Lightning McQueen passed pit row.
"Man, heck of a win!" Darrell Cartrip said.
Then Natalie Certain drove up and got next to Darrell Cartrip said.
"Yeah, heck of a win!" Natalie Certain said.
Then Lightning McQueen did some donuts only to be stopped by his friends' sponsors.
"All right, Lightning. Since you won the race, we will let your friends race for as long as they want until another rookie gains a winning streak." The sponsors said.
Then the press took pictures of Lightning McQueen winning against Jackson Storm.
Then Lightning McQueen was met up by Jackson Storm.
"Look, I want to say sorry." Jackson Storm said.
"Sorry for what?" Lightning McQueen asked.
"I'm sorry for slamming you like that. I don't deserve that Piston Cup. I deserved to lose." Jackson Storm said.
"When I was 11 years old, kids will always bully me. So I always watched your races to cheer me up because you were my role model. When I got to the Biggs Racing Center when I was 14 years old, a trainee named Frosty will always bullied me and that is why I became self-centered." Jackson Storm said.
"Jackson, I forgive you and I understand what you went through because I went through the same thing." Lightning McQueen said.
"In the Dallas Racing Acadamy, I had a best friend named Carl who betrayed me by removing my lug nuts and because of the removal of my lug nuts, I caused a crash in the final race of the semester. And because Carl won, he got the sponsorship and I was left with nothing. So, after that, I began to believe that I can't on anyone. When other students wanted to be my friends, I ignored them. Then I was hired by a team and the boss put the number 95 on me which I thought was the worse number because 95 didn't feel like a fast number to me at time. But all of my teammates and my boss will make fun of me until I won the race and getting rid of my team's losing streak." Lightning McQueen said.
"So, you went through the same thing too but instead of one teammate bullying you, it was all of your teammates." Jackson Storm said.
"Well, at least you have your friends from Radiator Springs. I don't have any friends because I am a moody and lonely car." Jackson Storm said.
"Well, Jackson, you're wrong because you have one friend, me!" Lightning McQueen said.
"You are really going to give me a second chance?!" Jackson Storm asked.
"Sure, everybody deserves second chances!" Lightning McQueen answered.
"Why don't you come to Radiator Springs? Maybe it will help you relax." Lightning McQueen suggested.
"I will!" Jackson Storm said.
Then Jackson Storm became friends win the other veterans including the retired veterans.
Then Lightning McQueen went to Chuck.
"Chuck, do you think that you can still be a crew chief?" Lightning McQueen asked.
"I'm sorry, Lightning, but this was the last day of my break. I got to back the Akron Racing Academy." Chuck said.
"Thanks for being my temporary crew chief for one last time." Lightning McQueen said.
"You're welcome, Lightning." Chuck said.
Then Chuck left the Florida International Speedway and went back to Akron Racing Academy.
Then Lightning McQueen and Jackson Storm went into their own trailers and Mack and Gale Beaufort drove to Radiator Springs.
Then the next four days, Jackson Storm changed from an arrogant jerk to a jerk with a heart of gold. He had also became friends with the other folks from Radiator Springs.
"Well, at least I won't to deal with a previous version of myself again." Lightning McQueen said to himself.
