Sarabis Pov:
Abel and I continued to look on in shock as Samra continued to showcase her new ring.
I could hear him gag as his dad pulled her in and gave her another kiss.
"You've got to be fucking kidding me." He mumbled as he got up and stormed out of the kitchen.
"Abbey! Get back here!" His mom called out as she went after him.
I sat there awkwardly as I heard them begin to argue in the next room.
"What is your problem? I thought you said you and your father patched things up?"
"We did! But not enough for me to be okay with you remarrying him!" He shouted angrily.
"Listen. What happened in the past happened. It's time you accept that and move on. Your father and I have."
"I did move on but not the way you wanted. I was fine until you invited him back in like we running the Four Seasons." He retorted.
"Well whether you like it or not he's still your Dad. And I'm still gonna remarry him."
"That's fine. Just don't count on me to be there." He said coldly before I saw him grab his keys and head out the door.
By the time I made it to the porch to try and stop him his car was already gone.
Samra sighed as she lightly put a hand on my shoulder.
"I'm sorry I ruined breakfast sweetie. But don't worry he'll be back. Let him cool off."
I closed the door and reluctantly followed her back to the kitchen.
She sat down and began to fix her plate like nothing ever happened.
"Well come on, there's no need to let this good food go to waste."
"Im fine y'all enjoy. I wasn't all that hungry anyway. Besides I need to be getting ready so Isaiah and I can run some errands when he gets finished." I smiled lightly.
Before she could say anything I went upstairs to our room and called Abel.
To my surprise he answered after the first ring.
"Yeah?"
"Hey, you okay?"
"No. I'm mad as fuck bro. She really giving this nigga another chance! She done killed my whole mood with that shit." He seethed into the phone.
"I know. And im sorry. But maybe they're really happy this time. I say we just leave them alone and see how it goes."
"I don't know. That dude plotting something I can feel it." He sneered.
"Maybe its just your feelings Abe. I mean you were starting to accept the new him before your moms announcement."
"You right. Aye ima go to Lamar's for a while to talk to him and clear my head. I'll be home before the party. I love you."
"I love you too." I sighed before hanging up.
I hated the fact that I couldn't do as much to help him with his emotions as he did for me.
Every time id try he'd brush it off or be too stubborn to let me.
I sat my phone down and got ready before heading back downstairs to find Isaiah.
