The first presents that we gave out were to Eren's step sisters, which was pretty much an exchange of gift cards. To be honest, none of us knew anything about each other enough to get something more than the gift cards.

"I want to give the boys their presents," I said quietly, getting up to grab them from under the tree. I was really excited to give them to Eren and Armin, I really nailed the presents this year. I knew that they would love it.

I grabbed two envelopes, and it probably looked like it was just money or another gift card.

"Here, Merry Christmas", I gave them the envelopes with a smile. I watched as they opened the envelopes.

Armin opened his first, and peered inside. "Holy shit Mikasa!" He said excitedly.

Eren, who was struggling to rip it open, looked over at what was in his blonde friend's hand.

"Is that what it looks like?" He said, a smile spread across his face. My heart lept at the smile.

It felt so good to be the one making him so happy. I had gotten both of them tickets to the Fall Out Boy concert this summer, knowing that it was one of their all-time favorite bands.

"Thank you so much Mikasa!" Eren said, hugging me and pulling me back down onto the couch. I fell on top of him, and squirmed back next to him. He kept an arm around me, not letting me move away.

"You're welcome," I said, leaning my head against his shoulder. I was still upset that he kissed me, but it made me happy at the same time. I guess that it was just that I didn't know what he was thinking, and it was enough to make me feel confused about the situation.

"Here you go Mikasa." I looked up as Armin handed me a bag.

"Thank you," I said, giving him a small smile. I opened up the bag, finding a dark blue sweatshirt.

"Since I'm moving out, you're going to need more clothes without mine." He laughed.

"Thank you," I said, opening my arms up for a hug.

Armin leaned down to hug me, but not without his snarky comments, "Oh look, Mika actually wants to hug someone"

We went through more gifts, and I gave the rest of mine out. I wasn't paying attention when Eren handed me a small rectangular box. "For the princess." He said, smiling.

I rolled my eyes, ignoring his new nickname for me. I looked at the box, I wasn't positive, but it looked like it possibly be a jewellery box.

I unwrapped the present, and it was a jewellery box.

"Eren," I said quietly. We had agreed years ago not to get expensive gifts for each other for Christmas.

"Open it," he nudged my arm, and smiled at me.

I gently opened the box and looked the necklace. It was a pinkish-color, rose gold maybe, shaped in an infinity sign.

"It's beautiful," I gasped, taking it out of the box.

"Here, let me", Eren took the necklace from my hand.

"Thank you", I smiled at him as he removed the scarf from my neck.

He places the necklace around my neck, fastening it. "I really wanted to get you something nice this year, especially since you saved me again. And, you can wear this instead of the scarf during the summer."

He smiled, and I hugged him. "Thank you so much, Eren"

"Christa and I chipped in." I heard Armin laugh, "That's why I only got you a sweatshirt"

I pulled away from Eren, "Well then thank you guys as well. How much did this cost?"

Eren laughed nervously, "You would probably get mad if I told you, let's leave it at that." He knew that I was someone who didn't want people spending tons of money on me.

Eren's phone went off, signalling that the cinnamon buns were ready, "Hopefully they turned out good." He laughed as he got up.
"I'll help you," I volunteered, following into the kitchen. As he got the pans out of the oven, I decided that I really had to speak up about the kiss.

"Hey Eren," I said quietly.

"Yeah?"

"What was with that kiss earlier?" I blushed a bit.

"I wanted to kiss you, so I took my chance." He grinned at me, but then turned serious, "I'm sorry. You probably didn't want to kiss me"

My eyes widened, "No- it's not that. It's just... wasn't it just some kind of joke?"

"No, I wouldn't joke around with you." He said earnestly. "Mikasa, do you think that-"

Whatever he was going to say was interrupted by Eva entering the room, "So you kissed her? Isn't she like, your sister?"

I looked away, but Eren laughed, "Oh god no, we don't see each other as siblings, that would be really awkward."

"Then what are you?" Eva pressed on.

Eren looked over at me, "Best friends."

"I think married would fit it." Christa came in with Armin, "You guys act and fight like a married couple"

"We do not!" Both Eren and I responded at the same time.

"And I think that proves it." Armin raised an eyebrow, "Now where the hell are those cinnamon rolls."

"Working on it," Eren muttered as he iced the rolls.

Later that night, I was lying on one of the guest beds with Christa. We were spending some time away from the boys, filled with Christmas movies and hot chocolate.

"Mikasa, was that your first kiss with Eren?" She asked. It was really fun hanging out with her, but the topic always changed to Eren and I's relationship.

"Yeah"

"Are you kidding?" She laughed, "So you've made out with my boyfriend, but couldn't make a move on Eren?"

"Hey!" I defended myself, "That was the freaking laughing gas"

"So, did you like it?"

I blushed, "I mean, yeah but it was way too quick to even tell. I still think that he didn't really mean it"

Christa rolled her eyes, "He definitely meant it, he was blushing after he kissed you, you didn't notice?"

I shook my head. I must have been too occupied in my own thoughts to have seen that. "Do you think that he likes me?"

"Yeah, there's no way that he doesn't." Christa smiled, "You're really talkative today, and usually you would shut out this conversation"

I shrugged, I had noticed it too, "I'm just in a really good mood I guess"

"You should be more open all the time like this," she suggested, "Eren was talking to me the other day, saying how he wished that you would talk to him more often".

"So now you go behind my back and talk about me," I gently punched her arm.

She snuggled up next to me, "I'm really glad that you trust me. You don't really let a lot of people in"

I smiled, "Well, it's hard not to love you".
