S3E2: Not running anymore

You woke up in a bed..? You pushed yourself up but got pulled back down. You looked to the cause, duck tape. You pulled it off of your wrist and got up from the bed. You didn't feel bad, but you didn't feel great either. You weren't thirsty.. so that's cool.

Grabbing your hat from the bedside table you jumped off making a small thud. You looked down at the hat and took a deep breath before putting it on.

"Oh.. your awake.." A small boy walked into the room, He had a scar on the left side of his face.

"Umm.. I brought you some food.. if your hungry." He cautiously walked up to me, and handed me a bowl of some sort of soup, you thanked him and took the food. You began to eat it before the small kid tried to make convocation.

"I'm Tennessee, you can call me Tenn." You gave a sheepish smile to the young kid "Y/n" He smiled back. "I'll take you to the others when your done eating" you nodded. You haven't seen other people in.. well since Clem and Aj. They could be here tho.

You finished eating and the kid lead you through a hallway, the halls were trashed.

"Guys! She's awake" The young boy said, you wandered around the place he took you to. It was a courtyard. You turned around to face the kids but bumped into someone. It was a boy, he had a long coat and dreadlocks.

"Nice to know your not dead."

"Yeah."

He put his hands in his pocket before taking one out for a handshake.

"I'm Louis" He said with a smile.

"Y/n" You took his hand and shook it. "Uhh you didn't have to put your hand in your pocket to shake my hand.. you know that right?"

"Yeah I know, my hand was cold and I didn't want you to shake my cold hand"

"Oh. Thanks.. I guess?"

You felt a hand on your shoulder, it was another guy, probably 1 year older then you and blue eyes.. with on ratty as haircut.

"Guessing you found Louis.. knowing him. He probably found you. I'm Marlon by the way."

"Y/n."

"Uh my friends found you in really bad shape.. what.. what happened?"

What happened? Hell. That's what happened.

"Have you seen a girl come by.. uhh brown curly hair, brown eyes, has a kid..?"

They people shook their heads.

Where did they go..

"Well it's getting pretty late, we don't wanna kick you out so we'll let you stay the night."

I finally have somewhere to stay, without keeping one eye open when I sleep at night. This is great!

"But.. if you wanna stay, were gonna have to talk about it in the morning. Just come find me, I'll probably be in my office" He said as we walked, he was taking me to somewhere I can sleep?

"And where is this office?"

"Oh right.. it's up there" He pointed to a door that was slightly open at the end of the hall.

"Noted."

You both walked in silence as you felt him glance at you multiple time before making it to the same room you were held in. He opened the door before smiling, you returned the gesture and walked in. Two girl stared at you.

"Y/n. You'll be staying with Sophie and Minnie, they were the ones that saved you"

They were both twins, both had red hair, but one of the girls hair was longer then the others.

"Guess you'll be bunking with us. You can take top bunk above me, I'll just move my art things"

"That's Sophie.. I'm Minerva, well Minnie"

She pointed out to her sister that was moving all her stuff from the bed.

"How did you find me..? and why would you save me?"

Both the girls looked at each other and looked down. "We don't like to see people suffer.. it's not right to just leave them." Minnie said. "We found you because that shed, well it belongs to us. Well not us.. but like the school" Sophie finished.

"Thanks.."

"I'm sure you'd do the same for us" the twin smiled.

Would I..? I mean I'd like to say I would, guessing it depends what situation they're in

//FLASHBACK//

A shadow butterfly was plastered on the wall, Kenny, Clem and I all tried our best to make Aj happy, hearing him laugh, It just kept us going. "Want another kiddo?" you ask.

You shaped your hands into a dog, he giggled and laughed. "Down boy" Clem went over to help light the fire while you started tickling Aj. He started to cry, you heard the bones of a walker nearby, you grabbed out your knife and stabbed it right through the jaw. You picked him up and started calming him down, by humming a song. He soon hushed down and soon fell asleep in your arms.

//END OF FLASHBACK//

The love you had for the kid, Aj. It was worth dying over. At this point it was worth dying over.. just to know if they were alive.

You found yourself wondering back outside, it was probably early morning.. 5ish o'clock. You climbed up the watchtower you saw while walking out from last night. The sun was rising, the orange sky reflected off the horizon and the trees. It was kinda peaceful, other then a few occasional walkers coming past.

You walked up the stairs to go to the office, you really needed somewhere to stay instead of just waiting around for Clem and Aj to miraculously come back.

The door was slightly open, you knocked on the door and it opened fully. There was no sign of Marlon, instead there was a big ass pitbull. The last encounter with a dog, it wasn't the best, But you couldn't just kill it. It's obviously someone's..

The dog started to growl and snarl as it got closer to you. You grabbed out a trench knife from your back pocket.

"Woah, Hey. What's going on in here?"

"I- The dog"

"Rosie down!"

Both of the kids looked at each other while Rosie went to go lay down.

"I'm really sorry about that. She just doesn't know you is all."

"Me and my friend just had a bad experience with a dog once.."

"Is this the same friend your looking for?"

"Yes."

It went quiet for a moment. Before Rosie got back up and went to sniff you out.

"Well then. Guess your an honorary student of Ericsson's board school"

"I guess I am."
