When Chlamydia woke up, the bed was empty. Pneumonia never woke up early, so where the hell was he? That’s when it hit her. "I knew I should’ve killed that little fucker with an axe."
She got up and headed for the walk-in closet they had set up as a nursery for the time being. If she didn’t have Pneumonia, at least she’d have Yellow Fever, right? Aidy was just sitting on the couch drinking his morning coffee when he saw Chlamydia in full distraught with the pocket knife in her hand. She ran up to him in tears and he jumped back, thinking she was going to stab him, but instead she pulled him into an embrace.
He was shocked, not sure what to do. "Where’s Pneumonia?" he asked, knowing he’d be dead meat if he found out. But what the hell was up with the pocket knife? And where was Yellow Fever?
Through her tears, Chlamydia managed to get out a few words, "G- G- Goneeee! They’re both goneeeee!" Aidy didn’t know what to do. He knew that Pneumonia was a complete piece of garbage, but he couldn’t believe he would just dip on her like that.
Aidy knew what he had to do. Despite all their differences, and what he’s done to her in the past few days, he had to take care of her. He loved her. "We’ll find them, okay?"And so the two sat on the couch for a while talking and calming down. The others saw them through the door and decided it would be best to leave them be. Everyone felt so crushed for her, but CDC felt especially terrible. How could he have just let Pneumonia leave like that? As everyone discussed sending out a search party for the child, CDC began to wonder if it was the right thing to do. To let Pneumonia take the child. He wanted to be truthful to Chlamydia, but at what cost? Was he risking his own safety?
Aidy continued to stay with Chlamydia throughout the day until it was getting dark outside. "Hey, maybe you should get some rest," Aidy said in a soft voice and he led her to her room for the night.
"Thank you, Aidy," she replied with a smile on her face before heading into her room.
She sat in the dark for a while, thinking. After a half hour or so, she hears a knock on the door. Without waiting for a reply, the door cracks open. CDC stood there for a moment, silent. Then he simply said, "yo."
“Yo?” Chlamydia replied with a confused look on her face. CDC walks to the chair in the corner across from the bed and sits down.
“Listen, I have something to tell you and I know you probably don’t want to hear it right now,” he says whilst keeping his eyes on the floor.
What did he mean by that? Wait... he did go looking for Pneumonia last night. Had something happened? "Last night, Pneumonia was acting weird and was worried about how you'd raise the child. He said he had come to a decision, but wouldn't tell me what it was-"
Chlamydia got up slowly and started to fill with rage, if you were there you could almost see the fire in her eyes. “What do you mean he was worried about how I’d raise him? I was more excited about the baby than he was.” She started walking over to CDC and grabbed his shirt by the collar. “Now tell me, where. Did. He. Go?” she said in a low voice.
"I- I don't know, believe me. All I know is he's gone, I'm telling you the truth. I would never lie to you," CDC's eyes filled with fear. This was the wrong decision. He was going to die. By this point, Chlamydia's nails were digging into his throat. His heart felt like it was going to explode out of his chest.
He couldn’t take it anymore. He didn’t want to die. Not yet. He’d come too far to end it now. “LOOK I THINK I KNOW WHERE HE IS OKAY,” he yelled with the best of his ability, as he was almost being strangled. “Just- let- me- go,” he said while panting. Having someone almost close your windpipe really takes the air out of you.
She loosened her grip on him, a whisper escaped his lips. "W-West Virginia-" That's when she lost it. He almost thought he'd be free when she moved away from him, but then she grabbed a vase, smashing it against his skull. With one of the shards, she slashed his throat. Once his body was on the ground she kept stabbing him repeatedly while screaming and sobbing as she was in a complete state of darkness and confusion. Corona was walking down the hall from the pool and heard the screams. He ran to go get Aidy because he knew something had to be wrong.
"I just heard screams," Corona said, "get the bat. I'll grab a gun." Aidy did as he said, different scenarios running through his head the whole time. They gathered outside Chlamydia's room, the door being wide open. They peeked in. Immediately, Corona whipped out his gun and shot it towards Chlamydia.
Aidy was quick enough to slap the gun out of his hands before the bullet was released. “DUDE ARE YOU FUCKING BLIND SHE’S A MESS SHE'S CLEARLY NOT DOING ANYTHING HE'S THE TARGET!” Yelled Aidy as he pointed towards CDC.
“Oh shit you’re right, my bad,” said Corona as he aimed, this time paying attention.
He shot at CDC. Once. Twice. Three times. Then he went until he ran out of bullets. There were so many bullet holes in his face it was barely recognizable. His clothes were torn up, what was left of them was stained red. Had he really just done that to someone who was once his friend?
“Corona, it’s okay, remember what CDC stands for, Centers for Disease Control. He was bound to plot against us this whole time. Now, move his body to the freezer for now and I’ll take care of her,” said Aidy.Corona dragged the body on the ground all the way to the kitchen, he felt too weak to pick it up. It created a long trail of blood that would take the whole afternoon to clean up. One of his organs fell out on the way there. When they finally got to the freezer, Corona squeezed his friend's hand, like a last goodbye, only for it to fall apart into pieces. Meanwhile back in the bedroom, Chlamydia was soaked in blood with marks on her face and arms, along with bruises from CDC trying to escape. “Here, you can use my bathroom and my room, it’s better for you to not stay in here,” said Aidy in a sweet and calming voice.
"Thank you," she smiled innocently, sooner or later they'd have to realize what she was capable of, but for now she'd let Aidy be nice. He was alright anyway. Maybe he could help her find her child. She felt a bit proud of how many deaths she had caused, maybe she'd raise the number. Swiney seemed like a good target.
