Notice how I've described you as a kaleidoscope of colours,
Dripping from my canvas; I painted you,
Puddles resting in my palette, imagining what could've been,
I thought ignoring your colours would have been easy,
So, I've tried to convince myself to let you go,
I've painted you in a world where our hearts greet each other,
A place where the sky and ocean finally meets,
Turquoise I imagined it to be,
And in my perfect world, we soar on butterflies and slept on sunflowers until the sun kissed us softly,
And now I'll describe you as the sweet daffodils,
Rebirthed as a new being,
Everlasting springs with colours you adore,
Colours that would never fade,
Now I've marched with elephants and wrestled with bears,
But I've never painted a being in such a graceful way,
You reminded me of the stars, the moon, and the planets,
Like the milky way in the heavens you give a vanilla fragrance,
I've tasted your colours and I've written a story,
Notice how I'm not finished writing your glory
