This is Berk, boasting the kind of balmy, fun-in-the-sun climate that will give you frostbite on your spleen. The one upside is the Vikings' annual holiday. They call it Snoggletog. Why they chose such a stupid name remains a mystery. But with the war long over, and us dragons living among the Vikings, this year's Snoggletog promises to be one to remember.

The sun had just become fully visible in the sky as I jumped up and down on the roof of the chief's hut in my dragon form.
Over the past few months, I gained the habit of jumping on the roof to awaken my beloved Hiccup so we can go flying together. It's a nice way to start off the day and it made both of us extremely happy.
After a few minutes of jumping on the roof I heard Hiccup speak sleepily.
"Okay, okay, I'm coming." He groaned out.
I smiled and purred as I stopped jumping. He came outside a couple minutes later and looked up at me as I swayed my tail happily.
"Well, good morning, Mr. Bossy!" He said with his hands on his hips.
I laughed and he imitated me mockingly.
"Do you always have to wake me up so early to go flying–" Hiccup started to ask as he walked, but his prosthetic slipped on a sheet of ice that was under the snow. I quickly hopped down from the roof and caught him before he could hit the frozen ground. He smiled and scratched my head then glared at his prosthetic. "Stupid leg."
I helped him stand upright and nuzzled his cheek purring.
"Thanks bud. I'm okay. How about we go flying like you wanted?" He asked and I nodded excitedly.
Hiccup chuckled and put my saddle and tailfin on me, then he hopped on and adjusted the tailfin once he was secure. I shot up into the air and flew away from the island.
"Come on! Let's see what you've got today!" Hiccup exclaimed as he leaned close to the saddle.
I purred and we dived down a cliff face. The breeze felt refreshing on my scales. Even though it was a chilly morning, it felt very nice to spread my wings with Hiccup on my back.
"WHOOO-HOOO!" Hiccup yelled out excitedly.
I smiled and leveled out, then we did a lot of crazy maneuvers that most dragon riders on our island were afraid to do with their own dragons. Not us though. Hiccup and I loved the thrill it gave us. It was utterly exhilarating.
When we finished with a spinning dive, I leveled out and flew towards some sea stacks that were good for practicing tricks. I already knew that Hiccup wanted to try the one where he jumped off and tried to get back on before I fell from the sky. As we got closer my theory was proven.
"Okay, you ready?" Hiccup asked and I nodded as I prepared myself. "Easy..."
Hiccup unhooked his prosthetic and slowly stood on my back. I kept as steady as I could as we neared the sea stack Hiccup was going to jump across. When we were close enough, Hiccup jumped off my back and I flew through the arch of the stack.
As I made it through to the other side, I felt Hiccup land on my back without stumbling. He secured himself to me again and I purred while looking at him. He smiled at me triumphantly as he got comfortable on my back again.
"We finally did it! After how many tries now, milady?" Hiccup joked.
I crooned happily and nodded. We had been trying to perfect that trick for weeks. So, it was very exhilarating when we were finally able to do it properly.

As Hiccup and Kala were out on their morning flight, the rest of the village was busy with preparations for Snoggletog.
"Here?" A Viking on the back of a Gronckle asked as they held up an axe by a ribbon outside the forge.
"Yes, yes, nooo, nooo, no, that one a wee bit higher!" Gobber said from the ground as he looked over the decorating of the forge.
The Viking had the Gronckle fly a bit higher then they looked back at Gobber with the axe raised like it was before.
"Here?" The Viking asked again.
"There! Ah, that's the spot!" Gobber said with a smile.
"Alright!" The Viking answered, then nailed the axe into place.
A little ways away from them, a Viking child in a cute dragon costume ran up to Meatlug and growled at her. She became playful and roared back gently. The child giggled and ran off.
"Attaboy, Meatlug!" Fishlegs said as he scratched her head.
At the tree in the center of the plaza, Astrid was helping with the decorations along with her dragon Stormfly.
"Are you ready, girl?" She asked as she prepared to toss a couple of shields.
Stormfly squawked in response as she prepared herself. Astrid smiled and threw the shields towards the tree and Stormfly sent some tail spines to nail them into place on the tree.
Chief Stoick walked into the plaza to see how the decorations were coming along. As he looked them over, he walked towards his best friend.
"Odin's beard, Gobber. Vikings spending the winter holiday with dragons. What would our fathers say?" He joked.
"They'd think we'd lost our minds!" Gobber laughed out.
"Hahahahaha. Well done. Well done, all of you!" Stoick exclaimed as he looked around the plaza. "I've never thought I'd live to see this day. Peace on the island of Berk. This will surely be the greatest holiday we've ever seen!"
All of the Vikings and dragons that were in the plaza cheered, but it stopped as they all saw a giant flock of dragons fly overhead.
"What the...?!" Stoick said as he looked at the flock.
As the flock flew over Berk, for reasons unknown to the residents, all of the dragons that were on the island took to the skies to join the flock.
"What in Thor's name?!" Gobber shouted, very confused about what was going on.
Snotlout ran after Hookfang as he took off.
"Come back! Where are you going?" He yelled after the Monstrous Nightmare.
"Meatlug!" Fishlegs exclaimed as the Gronckle took to the air.
Astrid looked around as all the dragons flew off and her eyes widened when she couldn't spot a certain boy and his Night Fury.
"Where's Hiccup?" She asked.
