BONUS CHAPTER

A beautiful cloudy day, Blade stands at the edge of a dock, looking over at the ocean. For the very first time, he's not wearing armor or sunglasses or any of his guns. His sword in hand as he sharpened it. Blade hears small footsteps behind him and smiled as tiny arms wrapped around his neck,
"Daddy", a little voice exclaimed.
He pulled his little girl in his arms,
"You're up early", he raised an eyebrow, moving his sword to the side.

"Mwammy maky bweakfass", she giggled as he lifts her up rubbing his cheek against hers and walked inside.

Blaire flipped a pancake with ease and smiled hearing Blade and Raya. She turned seeing Blade sit her down before walking up to her, he kissed her lips,
"Morning", he mumbled as she kissed his cheek,
"And what we're you doing outside?", she asked placing the pancake on a plate.

Blade sat down,
"Cleaned my sword", he said as she smirked at him,
"You miss it that bad?", she retorted.

Blade chuckled,
"Sometimes", he looked at her.
Blaire sat on his lap as she handed Raya her plate,
"Soon, real soon", she says watching Raya eat.

Blade stared at Raya with so much love, he never expected himself to be a father, nevertheless they stopped hunting altogether.
He missed it, sure, but he loved this life they built more. Blaire kissed his neck but tensed hearing a knock at their door,
" Kāizhāi, Nî zhīdāo zàng zài nâlî, qù", she ushered Raya.

Blade stood up and quietly crept to the door, while Blaire dashed out the back and jumped onto the roof. She looked down to see two hooded figures, she dropped down and with inhuman speed kicked both through the door.
She heard them groan as she growled at them,
"Not so subtle are you?", she kneeled down removing the hoodie, she smirked at King who was out of breath.

"I forgot you could smell us", he laughed as she looked at Abigail who hugged her.

"It's okay, Blade", she smiled at him as he lowered his gun and walked into the kitchen.
King whistled,
"He's still talkative as ever", he said as Blaire punched his shoulder,
"Raya, it's okay", she called out.

Abigail and Kings eyes grew wide at how beautiful and adorable Raya looked. Abby cooed at Raya who shyly held her dads hand.
"Awwww, you look just like mommy", she said as Blaire smiled,
"She does but..she has his temper", she said kissing Raya's head.

"Raya, this is Aunty Abby and Uncle King, daddy and mommy's friends", Blaire says as Raya waved slightly before sitting on the table.

"She got big", King commented. Blade walked out as the other followed. Blaire kneeled beside Raya,
"Eat all, we will be right back", she said before joining the other.

Blaire sat beside Blade who wrapped an arm around her,
"Why are you here?", he asked staring King down.

King gulped nervously as Abigail shifted,
"We need your help", she spoke up.

Blaire looked down at Blade who squeezed her waist,
"We stopped for a reason", she looked at them as they nodded,
"We understand", King stands placing a file down,
"In case you change your minds, we have a better security system and Zoey would love to see you guys again", they stood saying their goodbyes.

Blaire took the file, placing it on the counter,
"What do you want to do Blade?", she asked taking a seat across Raya. Blade stood behind Raya as he looked at Blaire,
" I love this life but...", Blaire walked up to him wrapping her arms around his neck,
"But you miss the hunt..", she said seeing him shake his head,
"No.... I don't want to leave this life. I promised you this life and I'm gonna keep my promise", he stated seeing Blaire smile laying her head on his chest,
" I love you, so much", she whispered. Blade kissed her head squeezing her waist as they looked down at their daughter.
No matter if the hunt was over for them, they knew at some point they'd have to go back. But for now they'd do everything they can to protect their daughter. Over their dead bodies, would they ever let anything happen to her.
