it all started with a book (ushiten)

Ushijima sat in the library quietly eating his lunch, personally he thought the cafeteria was to loud. Reading his book he was careful as to not damage the neatly typed up pages by getting food on them.

"What ya doinnn miracle boy?" The crimson headed boy asked that Ushijima had grown to love, but had not yet admitted to, wheeling over in a chair of his own putting his head on Ushijima's shoulder.

"Reading my book, Satori." the brunette responded as calmly as he could with Tendou that close o him.

"Okkk, well what is it about?" Tendo inqired the calm remark peaking his intreast about what his Ushiwaka could possibly be reading.

"Well it is about this homosexual boy who has a Christan father who does not support him, so after getting questioned by his father one night he ran to the church library and found a tunnel leading down." Ushijima stopped explaing to see Tendo's reaction to the novel so far.

Tendo tilted his head in thought while Ushijima told him about the story and looked at him when he stopped. "Keep going I assume it's about to get juicy!" he shouted shaking Ushijima to get him to keep going.

He smiled just barely before explaining farther. "well at the end of the tunel is a book on a podium in a language unknown to mankind but he can somehow understand it. He reads the words out loud and accidently summons a demon. Only the boy can see the demon unless the demon wants to be seen, so the demon decides to make himself look more human." Ushijima took a breath and a sip of his drink before continuing once again. "So eventually they start falling in love with one another but the boy wanted to know why the book was in a church so he started digging. He found out his dad had summoned a demon once before but you needed an angel to do so. His mother was an angel and the father killed her for power." He stopped when he heard a sniffle.

"That is so fucked up why would he do that! This is why I hate people." Tendo paused then thought about it. "Wait so how did the boy summon the demon then?"

Ushijima chuckled before answering. "He is half angel. Meaning he can read that language to summon the demon. Other way is to make a stronger demon by covering the book with the blood of an angel."

"ahh ok that makes sense." he mumbled thinking about the summary he was given. "What happens next?" he questioned putting his head back on the slightly taller boys shoulder breathing slightly on his neck.

Ushijima shuddered taking a shaky breath he responded. "Check the book out when I am done and you can find out." he stated knowing that Tendo was most likely about to get upset.

Tendo gasped dramaticly placing a hand over his chest as if Ushijima had hurt him. "You wound me so my faithful friend! You know the information and refuse to hand it over to me. What a horrible crime!"

But as the red headed boy heard the bell ring he looked away from Ushijima, and by the time he looked back he saw him walking out the door. "Hey wait for me!"

Time skip walking to their dorms

"Will you give me the book nowww?" Tendo said leaning over to grab it from the slightly taller male.

"No. You can get it when I'm done with it I'm using it for a book report in class." He stated the first time saying something about a book report to Tendo

"Huh that makes more sense actually. Well how you explained it earlier today you might want to make some revisions. Explaining isn't your strong suit Ushiwaka." He said skipping ahead only to turn around and walk backwards to face him

"I've never been good at explaining you know that. Also turn around before you fall and hurt yourself." He said walking around

"With my intuition? I could never. Also can I have my Manga back soon? I wanted to re-read that one before the next one came out."

"Alright I'm done with it you can come pick it up after you do your homework and get some food." He said nodding to himself. "I liked the add about the little vacuum that just roams around. It looks like a turtle."

Tendo paused for a second his cheeks tinting a little. 'that shouldn't be cute he's talking about an add' he thought to himself. "Did you just give me qualifications to come over?"

"You usually forget to feed or take care of yourself Tendo. For someone with such great intuition your not good at taking care of yourself." Ushijima paused at Tendo's dorm door. "I'll see you in a few hours Satori." He said walking off.

Tendo went inside and then stopped for a second smiling to himself like a dork. "He really does care in his own way. He's not good at expressing it but he does." He said kicking his shoes off and setting them on a shelf.

Time skip: Ushijima's dorm

'why am I so interested in that book? Something about it is just peaking my curiosity.' he once again thought to himself looking at the book on Ushijima's dresser that he was told specifically not to touch. Big mistake.

"Alright here you go Tendo your Manga is safe and sound. Also I bookmarked the page with the turtle vacuum looking thing." He said flipping to it.

"Oh hey it actually does kinda look like a turtle what do ya know." Tendo said tilting his head hair falling with it since he decided to brush the gel out.

"I'll be back in a moment I'm going to go make snacks if your staying like normal. Also I changed the Netflix password again. Semi said something that aggravated me.

Tendo started laughing making his way over to the couch still laughing at Ushijima's antics. He knew the boy didn't realize it but he's halarious sometimes. 'wait...now's my chance to see what that book is about.' he sneakily stood up and walked over there opening the book to the first page.

'hello Tendo, I figured you'd be curious enough or realize this isn't an actual book. I apologize for tricking you. I'm not very good at words and you know this yourself so this is my confession letter of sorts. I don't mean this in a hurtful way but your the demon that I fell in love with after a while. I was afraid to say something about my feelings because of my father actually. And I know you might not feel the same but I love you and have for a while. Honestly I found myself watching you more and more. From the way your lips curl up at the corners, to how your eyes look like rubies shining through a bad day, the way you interact with me and the team always makes me smile a little, but most of all you make me feel understood like I'm not a machine. Thank you Tendo if you wish to just be friends then just put this down and drop it if you wish.'

Your Ushiwaka

Tendo sniffled realizing that he had started crying because he was actually happy that someone felt that way about him. Before he heard a bag of something hit the ground.

Looking over he realized it was a bag of popcorn and he looked up from it to see Ushijima looking at him looking slightly panicked.

"Oh I see you," he stopped to clear his throat. "Found what you were looking for Tendo." He said picking up the bag and just holding it.

"Yes I did and so much more my Ushiwaka I like how that sounds. I feel the same way mainly and I don't want you to feel pressured because I found this." He stated before setting the book down and walking over to Ushijima placing a hand on his cheek. "But I love you too just know that big guy."

Ushijima was perplexed to say the least this was not at all what he was expecting to come back to. He was actually expecting to hear Tendo grumbling trying to figure out the new password. But this was a pleasant and unpleasant surprise. "Wait...you love me as well?"

"Yes and I have also loved you for a while. I'm not surprised you didn't realize it sooner." Tendo said leaning up and putting a small barely there of a kiss to the other boys lips giving him the option to kiss him back or not.

Ushijima pressed back harder not exactly knowing what he was doing but he felt his loveable red headed boy now lovers lips curl up more. "Thank you Satori this means a lot to me." He said smiling at him a little.

"Aww your smiling! That's so cute new boyfriend! And yes I'm calling you that. Come on let's watch that new show that came on Netflix!"
