The next morning comes around quickly as I had fallen asleep while waiting for Silco to wake up, I had rested my head on his chest, I slowly fluttered my eyes open and could hear Silco breathing as I have my ear to his chest. I straightened my back and stretched my arms up and my back ached from slouching all night, I look around still slightly confused as to where I am. I look down at Silco and see his eye hasn't gotten any better from last night, I'm still processing everything that happened last night, my throat is sore and dry as I haven't drunken water in a couple over 8 hours. I stand from the chair and look at the large glass wall, we seem to be under water, I stand in the middle of the relatively empty room, it was cold, I shiver slightly as I cross my arms and snuggle into myself, there's a separate area that has wooden shelves nailed into the walls. I look up and see a broken light covered by dark blue glass that's smashed. I hear Silco grunt and roll over, I turn my head and see him roll off the edge off the table and thud onto the ground on his side, I chuckle a little before walking over to help him up. There are bruises covering his entire neck in a hand shape, bruises cover his arms and I bandaged his bleeding knuckles from last night while he was sleeping. I place my hands under his armpits and lift him to his feet, "you're always falling" I flash a playful smile, Silco didn't return the smile, he opens his eyes and looks down at me, he places a hand on my cheek and takes a step forward leaving us barely thirty centimeters apart, I thought he was leaning in for a kiss, instead, he leans down and rests his forehead on mine, "I'm sorry, sweetheart" My heart drops as I think of the worst, "Vander he- he was killed... by the enforcers" Silco says calmly, I look up at him as tears swell in my eyes. My eyebrows furrowed as I turned my back to Silco resting my head and my hands, "I'm sorry, Azi... I tired to help him-" before he could finish his sentence, I turn around and rush to hug him tightly. I wrap my arms around his lanky waist and pulled him in tightly as I sob into his chest. I sense Silco being hesitant to hug me back, puts his arms around my upper back and leans his head on mine, 'I know he's lying, but I need comfort from someone' I think, little does Silco know, that Vander and him had landed in the water right outside the glass wall in the hideout I was in as I waited for Silco to get back, I watched the whole thing, first Silco falling into the water, then Vander diving into the water and trying to strangle Silco to death, and then Silco stabbing Vander in the side, the polluted water made it hard to see but the it was clear enough to see who betrayed who. I slowly let go of Silco and look him the eyes as a tear streams down my face, "I know you would have tried your best," I add, the painful look of guilt Silco's feeling, is masked with a calm smile and furrowed eyebrows, 'he doesn't feel guilty for killing Vander, he feels guilty for lying to me' I place my right hand on Silco's right cheek and gently trace the scar, "does it hurt?" I ask, "terribly..." Silco whispers sadly as he looks at the ground, silence filling the air as I lean in to kiss his cheekbone where the scar covers. "All we have is each other now, Silco" I murmured holding his hands in mine.
