It's the day of the play and they'll be acting infront of the whole school, you were looking forward to this play....you were too excited and too early that the school was almost empty when you arrived, Kiki catches up to you while panting

"Why were you *pants* running....y/n the school is still empty let's go to the playground" Kiki clings on your shoulder

"Sorry I'm gonna wait for basil"

"What? You have a crush on him or something"

"N-no! I helped him for the play, Ofcourse I'm excited to see it"

"Oh! Well goodluck" Kiki slaps your arm and runs tot he playground

You went inside, and it looked lonely, no noises at all, you went to the library and looked around, touching the books on the shelves, you were walking around and tripped, you looked down and see basil looking up to you

"Basil!"

"Y/n?" He stands up

"Sorry- I wasn't watching where I was going, I didn't think you would be here so early"

"I'm always early y/n , I just hide in the library"

"Ohhh well! Are you nervous for the play?"

"Yeah.."

"It's fine! You'll do so great"

"You really think?"

You nodded and helped him get up

The play comes closer and basil was nervous, he kept going over his lines over and over again, just as he was walking down the hallways reading his script he suddenly heard the loud speaker turn on

"Good afternoon students, this is an important announcement, we are concerned that there may be illegal substances around the school grounds, we have informed your parents to pick everyone up. Thank you"

Basil gasp
You saw him on the hallways and you ran to him

"No way basil did you just hear that? Drugs in the school???"

"Y-yeah I just did"

"Well I guess we will have a couple of days off cause of the school looking for drugs, and your play is cancelled"

"That's good though, I feel like I'm dying of nervousness..wait! Not that having drugs in the school is good okay.."

"HAHA chill! I'm happy we get a break aswell duh..I doubt there even is drugs in the school and it's just the school going gaga again"

"Well..I guess.."

"Want to hang with us ..me and kiki in the heh well the usual playground"

"Why do you guys like the playground"

"It's where we met! And we like just sitting on the swings and talking"

"Well..I have to take care of my plants so.. I'll go there after I finished" he looks at you again , you widen your smile and ruffles his hair

You ran while waving at him

You were in the playground on the swings while you sip your apple juice, Kiki yawns and kicked the rocks

"Y/n I'm borrrreeddd" Kiki whines

"Basil said he'd be here!"

"What's so special about him anyway??? I mean sure he's got cool plants"

"You don't find him special? God he's gorgeous "  you blush

Kiki smirks at you "PFTTHA what the hell y/n did you just blushhhh"

"no I didn't-"

"I can sense you have a crush"  you look at her and smile

"Maybe a little.." you whispered to yourself

"HUH? I didn't hear thattt"  you slapped her arm and chuckle

Minutes later you see basil running towards you

"Hey y/n,Kiki! I brought candy" he looks at you smiling, Kiki noticed and smirks

"Sour gummies! Sweet!" You popped it in your mouth and chewed

"You like it? A friend gave them to me, remember the basketball player withh long hair?"

"Mhm.. his name was kel "

"Yeah it was him who gave them to me"

"Who's kel?"kiki looks at the both of you

"Oh, I haven't introduced him to you.. I will next time okay"

Kiki smiles
