Over the years as Krissi got older Whitney decided to pre-retire from touring and making music. She wanted to spend as much time as she could watching her baby girl grow up. Krissi started taking her first steps and even said her first word "Mama." Whitney didn't know how to express how proud she was. Bobby dropped his album Bobby which did pretty well. So between both of their success they had no financial issues. Whitney threw Bobby a birthday party it was also to release his new album. It was a great birthday she always knew how to throw the best all their friends were their the New Edition member, LL cool J, P-Diddy, Notorious Big, Faith Evans, Mary J Bling, Jay Z and plenty more. Bobby felt special that night, their were paparazzi/reports their interviewing and invading their privacy. They even began to start issues, the media hated Bobby and Whitney together! But they always said they wouldn't let the media or anyone else break them apart.

Around 1995, Whitney started filming for her movie waiting to exhale that she was directly picked for. Whitney fell in love with the character Savanah she reminded her a lot of herself when it came to her and her mother's relationship. Whitney loved her mother to death but she could be very controlling and demanding. Robyn and Silvia were there to assist Whitney as she did the movie. Cissy was there helping to and John as well made sure he managed Whitney financially. Whitney met other actress on set Angela Bassett, Loretta Devine, and Lela Rocho then they became very close friends.

As Whitney finished up her dinner scene she returned back to her dressing room to see Robyn and Silvia face all in Robyn's phone looking distraught. "What's going on" Whitney asked. "It's Bobby" Silva quickly said. Whitney eyes widen. "He's been arrested again" Robyn added. Bobby was arrested a month ago for a DUI. Whitney was very worried she began to call around to see about getting Bobby out she didn't even care what he did. Couple minutes later her phone began to ring. Whitney quickly answered it was a unknown call. "Hello this is a collect call from New York correctional facility from inmate Robert Barisford Brown do you accept the charges" "Yes" she quickly responded.
Bobby: Hello
Whitney: Baby what happened?
Bobby: it was a big fight a man almost died I can't say much on the phone come down here I need a lawyer me and my bodyguard.
Whitney: ok yes baby whatever you need. You have me so scared Are you okay?
Bobby: Ima be alright just want to get out of here Nippy
Whitney: Ok Bobby I'll make sure of that. And today while I was on set they said they wan-"
Bobby interrupted her before she could finish "I got to go" Whitney felt her heart beeping faster she felt anxiety thought her body she yelled "baby we just started talking" "Nippy other people waiting I got to go I love you" "Bobby replied. "No, not yet Bobby" she started to cry out but Bobby hong up the phone. Robyn and Silvia were listening but wanted to give her space after they asked was she okay.Whitney was sadden she felt sorrow when she found out the charges Bobby and his bodyguard had nearly killed somebody and was facing some serious time. Whitney had managed to do everything she could but the Judge wasn't letting Bobby out on bond.

Whitney struggled getting through the film Waiting to exhale but was glad she at least had support there with her. Whitney and Bobby talked over the phone and she visited him once a week he ultimately went to trail and he got a deal to be sentenced for 6 months so it was very hard for them they basically had to reconstruct their whole lives. Whitney wanted to bring Bobbi Kris but Bobby wouldn't let anyone else come visit him not his children or other family. Whitney went into a deep depression as time went by she missed having Bobby by her side doing for her what no one else couldn't pleasing her mind and soul. Whitney was a real one she was going to hold Bobby down and stick by his side through better and worse, She took her vows she made to God seriously!

Whitney was finishing her soundtrack for the movie Waiting to Exhale. She was sitting on her dressing room getting ready for her love scene then Clive unexpectedly showed her up. Clive greeted her with a kiss on the cheek. "Hey darling how's it going" he asked. "Good I should be done after this" Whitney replied. "What's up with this guy he's in jail again" Clive asked her referring to Bobby. "Don't worry about it Clive's He'll be fine" Whitney quickly replied back. "You look exhausted love Bobby isn't any good for you, this isn't healthy" Clive's said as he placed his hand on Whitney back. Whitney got irritated and informed Clive's she just wanted to discuss business and not about her personal life. Whitney knew she wasn't well but she wanted to be strong for her and Krissi. She had bags under her eyes and began smoking cigarettes heavy. Whitney would wake up all times of the night making sure she didn't miss any of Bobby collect calls because if she did that would start a big argument between the two. Bobby was behind bars only getting being able to make a call every 3 days he felt frustrated & alone also he was clean for the first time in his life since a kid so his mind was steady racing. When Whitney didn't answer the phone he would get paranoid and make assumptions that she was cheating on him he even got his sister Leolah to stay with Whitney while he was locked up.
