It was a nice autumn afternoon, and the Tubblings were bored; like always.
For the third time this evening, Lani groaned, and yelled "I'm bored". Tubbo rolled his eyes, knowing that was the third time in the past 10 minutes she had said that. Rolling his eyes, he replied with an "I know."
Getting up off the couch, he suggested an idea that Lani perked up at; feeding the ducks. Lani loved feeding the ducks at the pond near their house. She had even named one, Charlie. Charlie the duck.
The Tubblings always kept bread for the ducks in the breadbox, so Tubbo went and grabbed the loaf. Making sure to grab the house key, they walked outside and shut the door behind them.
When they made it to the pond, Charlie was sitting on the edge of the grass. With a smile on her face, Lani ran over and gave Charlie a hug. While Lani was hanging out with her 'pet' duck, Tubbo was over on a log trying to open the bread.
Tossing a piece of bread over to his sister, Tubbo grabbed another piece, and handed it to one of the ducks sitting near the edge of the water. He didn't name one of the ducks, though Lani kept insisting he should name one. He kind of liked the duck sitting next to his log, so he silently named it Kat. She was a pretty duck, and seemed really nice. He wanted to make sure Lani didn't know he named one of the ducks, or she would give him a look, paired with her classic 'I told you'. Silently rolling his eyes, he continued feeding the ducks for a few minutes.
By now, the sun was painting a beautiful colour over the horizon, signalling that they needed to leave.
"Come on Lani, say goodbye to Charlie, and let's head home. The sky is getting dark, and you know mum would have my head if we aren't home by dinner." Lani nodded, and turned to say goodbye to Charlie.
Tubbo looked at Lani, eyes turning fond when he saw Lani skipping beside him. Over all, he thought it was a very successful outing.
