Fourteen

Caroline was packing a picnic for her and Alexander to eat. She had the diaper bag ready for Kelsey. Alexander wanted to get their minds off of A and bond with Kelsey. She heard a horn causing her to walk to the door and open it. She waved him in as she went back to getting things ready. "Where's Kelsey?"

"Sound asleep." She tells him. "I have her carseat ready. Do you need help?"

"Nah. Mom taught me this morning how the carseat should go in. Plus I bought one for my car."

Caroline looked at him shocked. "You did what? Alexander, I never asked you to do that."

"But I wanted one." He tells her. "If I want to be with you then I have to have something for Kelsey too because she's not your's no more. If things work out for us. She will be ours."

Caroline walked over to him and kissed him. Alexander pulled her close as they kissed to hear Kelsey waking up from her nap. Alexander pulled away smiling. "I'll take care of her. You just finish what you need to finish up and we can leave."

The blonde nodded as he went to get Kelsey and change her. Caroline looked at everything she had and the basket and smiled as she had everything she needed. The food and the drinks. "Alexander, I'm ready whenever you are."

At the park, Caroline smiled as she watched Alexander push Kelsey on the swing. Hearing her daughter laugh made her smile. She took her phone out and took a picture of them. Caroline sent the picture to Emily who replied thinking that was adorable. "Caroline." She looked away from her phone. "Come here."

Caroline walked over to him just for him to kiss her. Kelsey squealed out in happiness seeing her mom kissing a guy. Caroline pulled back smiling as she had one thing to say. "You will be an amazing father to her."

"You think things will work out for us."

"I think so." She tells him. "Just look how happy Kelsey is and I'm happy too." 

Alexander smiled as he kissed her again. "I know I'm happy too." He tells her. "Meeting the two of you was the best thing ever." 

Caroline smiled as she looked at Kelsey falling asleep in the swing. Alexander stopped the swing causing her to get Kelsey out. Caroline carried her to the seat and laid her down on the blanket as she slept. "Thank you for today, Alexander."

"Hey, I wanted to spend more time with you and bond with Kelsey. I know she's not mine, but I am claiming her." 

The two shared a look at one another before sharing a kiss. Caroline could never ask to meet a man like Alexander because he has her falling for him more than what she thought. He loves Kelsey and he wants a future with her. She was wanting everything with him just like he was wanting with her.
