Something about Spencer being framed bother Alex and Caroline. The couple sat at the grille with the girls. Alex was feeding Kelsey as Caroline listened to them. They were trying to figure out who would blackmail Spencer. "Let's not jump to conclusions, Emily. Ian can be our suspect and yes he is in that house, but wouldn't he have gotten caught by Melissa or their parents?" She says. "Whoever it is knows that Spencer and Ali could hardly handle each other."

"She has a point." Alex says. "Like Caleb working for Jenna. She wants a key, but Caleb doesn't know what kind of key."

"He said he called it off." Hanna says. "Can we not talk about him?"

Caroline looked at a sleeping Kelsey in Alex's arms. "There's someone watching us." Spencer says causing Alex to look up.

"It's just decorations for the founders festival." Hanna says.

"Girls, I would like to talk more about this, but I need to get Kelsey to bed."

"We were heading home anyways." Aria says as they each hug.

"Bye."

The next morning, Caroline was helping her mom and looked at her. "Mom, what happened to dad?"

"What do you mean?"

"You never talk about him. I don't even see pictures of him. Anywhere's."

"Its something I'm not proud of." She says, but smiles. "Go to school, Alex is waiting for you."

Caroline watched her mother go to Kelsey to take her to Alex's mom. Something about her father and the way her mom says she's not proud had her questioning everything. She walked out as Alex saw her. "Hey, what's wrong?"

"Mom won't tell me anything about my dad. She says it's something she's not proud of."

"Maybe the man is married."

"If so, does he have kids?"

Later that day, Alex stood waiting for Caroline when Caleb walked over to him. "I know you don't like me, but I was hoping I can explain what really happened."

"You were trying to get answers on my girlfriend and her friends."

"Yes, but I ended it when I fell in love with Hanna." He confesses. "I never wanted to betray their trust. Not even yours." Alex was surprised by this. "Jenna needs a key. What type of key? I don't know, but she thinks that one of the girls have it."

"Then why not tell them that from the beginning."

"At the time, I didn't trust them till I started being around Hanna more." He says. "Caroline has a beautiful baby by the way."

"Thanks." He says. "I will work on trusting you if you do me a favor."

"Sure." Caleb replies.

Caroline walked out of the bathroom to see Caleb walking away. "What was he wanting?'

"To apologize." He says. "Caleb's not bad. Just wished we knew before now."

"Well, you didn't trust him." Caroline pointed out as they started down the hall. "What did you ask him to do?"

"To help find your father. Your mom is staying quiet about it and I think Caleb can help us. That's if he doesn't leave."

"What? Without saying goodbye to Han?"

"Yep. She doesn't want to speak to him, but I think he is writing her a letter stating that he is sorry."

Caroline nodded as she would hate for that boy to leave. Alex wrapped his arms around Caroline causing her to look up at him and smile. Ella saw them. "Caroline, can I talk to you?" She asked. "I want to throw you a baby shower for Kelsey..."

"Her birthday is coming up. She will officially be a year old." She says smiling.

"I'll do just that."

"Thank you, Mrs. Montgomery." Caroline says.

"Go. I'll see you later." Alex said kissing her head.

Ella smiled at them as Caroline looked at her and walked away. Alex shook his head smiling. He hopes to find out more on Caroline's father.

That night, Caroline and Alex walked around the festival. Alex was pushing Kelsey causing Caroline to smile. "I got to thinking. Ali always favored me and Emily because we actually understood her." She says. "What if she trusted us with the key and neither of us knew about it?"

"That would make sense..."

"Alex. Caroline." Aria says as she ran to them. "Emily found the key."

The couple shared a look. "I'll take Kelsey home and you go find out where that key goes."

'Are you sure?" He pointed causing the blonde to see her daughter was asleep. "Oh."

"I love you, Caroline."

"I love you, Alex." She tells him as they shared a kiss.

"Alexander Harrington!" Hanna says. "We got to go and she will tell you everything once we figure it out."

Caroline shook her head before running away with her friends. Alex looked at his little girl before leaving.

That night, the five liars sat in Caroline's room with Alexander watching the video. The blonde was shocked that they were being watched and who ever was spying on them wasn't Toby nor Ali as she was in the video. "Whoever that is watching us, killed Alison."
