 "It's you, isn't it?"

"Everybody dealt with the blip in their own way. I continued doing what I was trained to do." Clint said, "Protect people." Kate insisted, "Hurting people. Investigating first, but in the end, my job has always been to hurt people." he said, "You were a hero." Kate said, "I was a weapon." Clint corrected, "I was aimed by the right people, at the right targets, so..." his voice trailed off, "Look, you made mistakes, but those are behind you." Kate tried, "No, it's tied to me. Tied to my family." he said, and Kate glanced down, "That's why I'm here, and I can't go home until I fix it." there was a pause of stillness, "I really appreciate what you did tonight. It means a lot. And uh...you're good for her, thank you for being there for her, she really needs someone in her corner." he added, looking at Iskra's sleeping form, and Kate nodded, a small smile flickering across her face when she looked towards Iskra, "You know, you should get some rest, you've got a big day tomorrow." he added. "Yes, boss." she muttered, "Goodnight." she added quickly, "Night." He replied.

Iskra was of course never lucky enough to get a full uninterrupted sleep, her dreams were more like haunting memories all blended together.

"Clint where's Nat?" a voice echoed through her head, the image of Clint standing in front of her, he stood in silence a deep sadness, and far away look in his eyes, Iskra gasped suddenly, "No." she heard herself whisper, shaking her head side to side, "Tell me you didn't let her die." she spoke the volume of her voice rising a few notches, "Uncle Clint, Please..." she cried, "Please say something." there was another beat of silence, "She promised..." Iskra cried, "She...she promised." Someone took a step forward touching her arm in comfort, but she just shrugged it off, leaving the room quickly.

Clint was the one to find her, she was sitting on the dock one of Nat's jackets wrapped tightly around her, tears decorating her cheeks, "I am so sorry Iz." he whispered sitting down next to the blonde, she looked so broken and so much younger then she had in forever, "What happened?" She whispered lowly, "Tell me...please, I need...I need to know." She said, "It was supposed to be me." he choked out, she listened to each line of his story, becoming angrier at the world with every line of it.

"It's ok,"
