Baffy: One Shot stories!

Mother's Day Blues (Dace 2: Requested by SonicYoaiFan)

Author's note: Again, if you guys don't know these two. They are Duck and Ace from The Loonatics Unleashed show, which is the next generation of the looney tune characters. They are basically Daffy and Bugs. These two along with their friends Lexi (Lola), Rev (Road Runner), Tech (Wile E Coyote) and Slam (Taz) are all part of a team of superheroes. In this particular One Shot, Duck, unlike the other members of the team, is deeply upset during Mother's Day and Ace is there to help him pick up the pieces. The relationship status is: Dating. I hope you guys enjoy this requested one-shot. ☺️

Chapter 1:

It was a typical day in Acmetropolis and the gang was getting ready for a very special and more traditional event that all mothers alike would appreciate, Mother's Day.

A warm spring holiday that is solely dedicated in thanking the moms around them for being a part of their children's lives.

However there are some lonely souls in this world that never got much of a chance to celebrate the holiday with their moms any longer or for some, not at all.

Including Duck, whose parents have passed away when he was 5 along with his adopted ones at the close age of his 17th birthday, right before he got his powers from the space meteor met his friends.

At this time, Ace, who he has now been dating since the last final attack on Planet Blanc, went over to Duck's room to check up on him after he didn't show up to the meeting room where the rest of the gang was prepping pink flowered baskets for their parents.

"Hey Duck, why are you sitting by yourself? Is everything alright?" Ace asked while sitting next to Duck, whose head was resting on his knees in a sitting position.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I just don't feel like going anywhere today. Is it cool if I stay home for a bit? I'll look over the tower while you're gone." Duck said in a low, sad tone.

This quickly concerned Ace as he tries to understand why Duck would avoid such a precious holiday.

"What? No way! You'll miss the best parts. It's Mother's Day. Don't you want to celebrate it with your family? I bet they miss you already up there." Ace said curiously.

"I can't..... They're dead. Both of them. I lost my biological ones too early and....my adopted ones died from a car accident. I don't think I want to remember any much more of how and why they're gone." Duck explained, his head turned away after he said those last couple of sentences so that Ace wouldn't see him cry.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't know." Ace said, his ears drooping down while placing his hand on his shoulder to comfort him.

"It's alright. You guys can go on without me. I'll be fine." Duck said, his voice in an obvious upset strain.

".....No, I'm not leaving you alone.... Just hang on a minute, I'll be right back." Ace said as he kissed him on the forehead before leaving him to be for the moment and left the room to tell the others about this.

He felt bad that Duck had to live with this kind of pain and tries to see what he can do to help.

Chapter 2:

When Ace joined with the others, they noticed his presence and greeted him.

"Hi Ace! We're all ready to. Is Duck..." Lexi was going to ask excitedly until she saw the morbid look on his face and quickly changed expressions.
