I went straight to my bed to sleep, not even caring to change out of my clothes. It took me no time to let unconsciousness take over.
Caitlyn's POV
I opened eyes. It was too dark to see my other surroundings. I was in somewhere cold, the floor was concrete. Maybe a basement. I tried to stand but I was tied down to a rusted, metal pole. I struggled a bit more but finally gave up after a couple of minutes. I felt water drip on my leg. I looked down at the tiny drop but it was scarlet red instead of crystal clear blue. My heart started racing. Physically beating out of my chest. I was surprised whoever tied me up couldn't hear it.
It felt like hours had already passed, and my leg was cover in almost dried, sticky blood, when I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. He stood in the right position that the light would only hit his eyes. They were vibrant green. The all too familiar vibrant green eyes. He reached up and clicked on the light.
Before I fully looked at my kidnapper, I looked up to see what the blood was dripping from, and what I saw wasn't at all pleasant. I saw a man hanging upside down by his boot clad feet, his head dangling, blood dripping from his closed mouth. His body was grey and lifeless, and if I touched it I would find it to be ice cold. I looked at the dead man in horror and then looked at the man standing in front of me with the same look.
"Cat, why didn't you tell me what you were?" he said. How he knew my name, I was unclear about that.
"Who are you, what do you want with me." I said, too tired to sound anything but scared.
"I wish I didn't have to do this." He paused for a moment. "I'm so sorry."
He slowly walked over to me and crouched down in front of me.
"No, you don't have to do this, you don't have to do anything." I said frantically. He pulled out a knife that gleamed dangerously, from inside his jacket and held it close to my heart.
"Please." I pleaded softly. He looked at me with guilt and regret in his eyes, then looked away as he plunged the knife in my chest. He never looked at me as I slowly faded away into the darkness.
I woke up screaming, a pain in my chest, covered in sweat, and tears streaming down my face. I sat up when I heard a loud bang from the main room. Sam burst through my bedroom door, looking frantically at me.
