"Thank You." she said before laying her head on the pillow and closing her eyes.

Dean's POV

I grabbed the pillow and blankets and made a mini bed on the couch, furthest from the front door. I laid my head on the left side of the couch so I could see Caitlyn, in case something came for her in the night.

After a while I looked at the clock on the side table in between her couch. 1:42. Why can't I fall asleep!? I looked into Cat's room, she was tossing and turning. I tried to get some sleep, this time succeeding.

The next time I woke up it was 4:54. I looked into Caitlyn's room, she was laying in bed, staring out the window. The moon shone so I could see her eyes. She hadn't fallen asleep yet. Her eyes were bloodshot, and I could clearly see the bags under her eyes. I looked down at the floor right beside the couch, Sam was asleep, slightly snoring (I had pushed him off last night, just to make him mad). I grabbed my phone and texted the number Sam gave me earlier before he left.

Dean: Have trouble sleeping

I looked into her room again and saw she got the message.

Cat: Who's this

Dean: Batman

I saw her look into the living room from inside her room and when her eyes landed on me, I waved.

Cat: Well Batman, go to sleep. We have research to do in a couple hours

Dean: Ha. Seriously are you having trouble sleeping?

It was a while before I looked in her room. She was debating whether to tell me or not.

Dean: You can tell me

I sent, to let her know that I really care, that she can entrust me in these types of things.

Cat: Ever since the dream where Sam killed me, I don't want to sleep

Dean: You're not hungry either, are you? I haven't seen you eat since I came in

Cat: No not really. I haven't had much of an appetite here lately

Dean: You gotta eat, you need the energy to keep researching gruesome murders

Cat: I'm giving you the face. It's better than Sammy's

Dean: I don't think anything can beat Sammy's face

Cat: Lol. Hey, how'd you get this number by the way

Dean: Sam gave it to me before he left

Cat: Oh okay. Well, get some sleep, you must be tired

Dean: 3 or 4 hours does wonders on this body plus, that's what coffee's for

Cat: Oh shut up, goodnight

Dean: It's good morning now honey

Cat: Well, then good morning

Dean: Good morning Catwoman

She got up and closed the door so I couldn't see her anymore.

I got up and walked to the kitchen. While I was getting out eggs, bacon, and biscuits, I heard the shower turn on. I could scare her, but decided against it.

I was almost done making breakfast, when I heard the door to the bathroom open, and out walked a very wet Caitlyn wrapped in a short towel. Oh, she was doing this on purpose. She sat down at one of the two bar stools at her island.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were trying to tease me." I said, taking the biscuits out of the stove and placing them beside the sink.

"Good thing that you're not the sharpest tool in the shed then." she said. I put a hand over my heart as if I were hurt.

"You know my kryptonite is wet women." I said, giving a wicked grin.

"1, ew, and, 2, I thought you were Batman?"

"He doesn't have any weaknesses." I said. She got up and closed the distance between us. She placed a hand on my chest and the other in my belt loop, and pulled me closer to her.

"Then I guess this doesn't work." she said in a pouty seductive voice. She's good at this. She took a step back, and started making her way to her room. Before she walked in, she turned back around to look at me.

"Bye-bye Batman." she said, wiggling her fingers at me. She walked in, and before I looked away, I saw the towel that was wrapped around her be tossed into the living room, hitting the floor. This is going to be hard. I heard the door close and I turned back to the bacon and eggs. I heard the faintest of chuckles and I looked at Sam.

"She has got you wrapped around her finger." he said, laughing in between breaths.

"Yeah, I know, Captain Obvious." I mumbled.

"You like her don't you?"

"What, no." I said too quickly and I knew he caught it.

"So, that's a yes."

"No, that's a no." I said forcefully.

"It's a yes. Why don't you ask her out?" he asked.

"Cause I know nothing about her."

"Get to know her."

"Why should I?" I asked.

"Because, that is the most flustered I've ever seen you. No girl has ever done that to you." I was getting ready to come back with something witty, but he cut me off. "And, that's the most happy I've seen her since we meet. She hasn't smiled that much. She seems lighter when you're around. No one's ever done that. I've tried, and I've tried to set her up with guys, but nothing was helping. I was really getting worried." he told me.

"I hadn't realized... I'm-" he cut me off again.

"I don't know if you can go this time. I don't know if you can leave when this is over. And I know y'all just met but I think you'd be a good thing for her." he said. I looked at him in shock.

"I can't just not be a hunter. And I can't just tell her everything about this life and have her come on the road with me and stay in dingy motels. She deserves more." I stated sadly.

"Then quit."
