"Ok, then, let's look into it."
"What?"
Caitlyn's POV
We finally found the articles about the murders. It was gruesome. Some of the articles described everything. When the people died. How the people died. Gruesome. You could clearly make an image. Even Dean grimaced at the description.
The murders happened all in a week. 5 murders in all. 2 woman, 3 men. The woman all looked alike. As did the men. Light brown hair, brown eyes, fair skin. The way they were murdered was different though. The woman had their throats slit and had been stabbed 2 times each in the stomach. The men were just stabbed 1 time, right to the heart, but the rope burns on their wrist indicated that they were tied up at one point before the men were killed.
They all had one thing in common other than their looks. They all had CP carved into their left leg. The police thought it was the killer's signature, but Dean had other ideas. It was written all over his face.
After a couple of hours of research Dean and I had just stopped and started having fun. He was talking about Sam and his moments of stupidity. I told Dean how Sam asked Jess out on their first date. He had been so flustered. We were laughing. He looked good with a smile plastered to his face. Not a cocky or seductive grin. This was a genuine smile. He was telling another story of Sam and started laughing. Full on laughing. Tears rolling out of the eyes laughing. He had a cute laugh.
When he laughed he just seem... lighter. He looked like a man that carried a lot of guilt on his shoulders. But when his eyes squinted shut, his whole top row of teeth were showing, and his body shook a little, he seemed happier, like the load had lifted. I liked this Dean.
He shook his head and look down, still laughing. He looked back at me, and just smiled. I haven't laughed like this in a while. I was still laughing hard. Head rolled back, my body was consumed by laughter making my body shake. I must look like an idiot. I pulled my long sleeves down over my hands and covered my face. I did this when I was self-conscience. I felt two hands grab each of my hands, softly.
"I like the smile, and the laugh. Keep it on." he said looking into my eyes, his face closer than I thought it would be.
"And you should smile more often." he looked at me confused. "It's a very handsome feature, plus," I leaned forward. I heard his breath stop in his throat. "It makes people wonder what you're up to." I whispered in his ear.
"Funny and flirtatious. I like." Dean said giving me another genuine smile. I had honestly thought he was going to give me one of those cute little flirty grins. But he has surprised me once again.
I just hope I don't have to get bad surprises. Like the fact that at this moment he could be plotting my death. In his head. But so could Sam, and I don't think he would do something like that.
But I guess I'll have to cross that bridge when I cross it.
Thank you for reading. Love you weirdos.
