        "Ugh I don't understand this stupid question."

        "Here let me help." I grabbed the paper out of her hands and started scanning over the question. " Alright, so what would be the symbolism of the conch in the book?" 

        "I don't maybe that it makes a stupid noise when you blow into it!" 

         I sighed "Umm okay. The conch basically represents leadership. Whomever holds it has leadership then. lord of the Flies symbolizes sadness, and leadership. So the conch refers to leadership." Then unexpectedly a voice spoke up. 

       "Actually the conch represents civilization, adult rules and the democratic process." 

       I was stunned that was probably one of the first times I've heard Mark Hunter talk. You see the only time he actually talks is when he is either asked a question or honestly I don't even know because he rarely talks. He's really distant with everyone I never see him at lunch or basically out of school. I wonder if he just just stays at home like a lot. I feel bad for the guy. I would love to talk to him but I feel like honestly I would just embarrass myself. 

      "Y/n, y/n! 

       I immediately snapped out of my thoughts.                  

     "You okay?" 

     "Uh yeah I'm fine." To be honest though I wasn't.

     "You sure, or did I just catch you in Mark Hunter fantasy land again?" She laughed

     I playfully punched her arm. "I do not fantasize about Mark Sophie. Like I don't find him attractive at all."

    "Who said anything about him being attractive?" She smirked.

   Ugh fine it's true I find him attractive. I mean who couldn't. His beautiful green eyes, his curtain banged brown hair, and his glasses make him look adorable. I would love to talk to him but as far as I got to getting a conversation with him is when he literally corrected my wrong answer. I felt so dumb. 

     "So you gonna answer my question?" 

     "Yes, I find him attractive alright."

     " Yes I knew it!" 

     "Now will you shut up." 

Time Skip 

      The bell rang and the end of class came. I had lunch next so I went to my locker and headed to the library. I usually eat in there because it's nice and quiet and if I wanted to get any work done in there I could. Today though, I was on a mission. I recorded the latest Hard Harry program last night. My mission is to find out who this guy is. No one truly knows who he is but I am determined to. Last week the librarian asked me to cover for her because she had some family business to attend to that week. I didn't mind so I said sure. Bonus is I get to use her spacious desk. As I sat down I grabbed my headphones and stuck them into the jacket of my Walkman. There aren't to many people who come into the library at lunch or in general. Which is good because no one can bother me while I'm working. So I started to play the recording. 

      "I like the idea that a voice can just go somewhere, uninvited, and just kinda hang out like a dirty thought in a nice clean mind. Maybe a thought is a virus, you know, it can... it can... kill all healthy thoughts and just take over. That would be serious."

       I skipped a few lines over to the next segment. 

      "You see I didn't plan it like this. My dumb dad got me this shortwave radio set so I could just talk to my buddies back East. But I couldn't reach anybody. So I just imagined I was talking to nobody, I imagined nobody listening. Maybe I imagined  there would be one person out there...And then one day I woke up, and I realized I was never gonna going to be normal, So I said "So be it". And Happy Hard Harry-On was born. But I never meant to hurt anyone. I never meant to hurt anyone. I'm sorry Malcom. I never said, "Don't do-"

      "Umm excuse me?"

      I nearly fell out of my chair because of how startled I was. My Walkman fell into my lap so I took out my headphones and put it immediately away. As I looked up to see the who the voice was. I was met with the eyes of Mark Hunter. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry umm what can I help you with?"

     "Just returning this." 

     Gosh he's so cute when he's nervous. He handed me the book and I looked to see the title of it. "How to talk dirty and influence people by Benny Bruce. Who's he? Any good?"

     "Eh he's alright."

     "Umm it looks like it's overdue. Don't worry just put 25 cents in the overdue jar." He pulled out the change eagerly and placed it into the jar. As I was about to say something when he asked.

    "Umm not to be nosy but what were you listening to." 

     I'm a little shocked that he brought up the conversation. I didn't want to be rude so I was honest and said "Th latest Hard Harry program."

    "What did you think of it?"

    "It was really good! He brings so much so many emotions when he's talking and he brings out great points as well." "I just realized I just completely rambled  to him about it and I blushed a crimson red.

     "Really you think so?" 

     "Yeah he's really awesome!" I saw a blush creep onto his cheeks. I blushed for a moment as well because I never realized how cute he looked when he blushed . As I was about to say something he cut me off. 

    "Your in my literature class right? I was wondering if you maybe wanted to get some dinner sometime?" 

     Wait a minute did he just ask me out? "Yes I would love to! "I paused for a moment and said "But I didn't know you could talk." I smirked.  

     "Well let's just say when I do talk if I'm just really quiet I don't like ya, but if I do talk to you I like ya. " 

     I was surprised that he just said that he likes me well in a friend way I think. Wait but he did just ask me out on a date. 

    "How about I pick you a-"

     "8:00 and don't leave me waiting." I pressed a kiss on his cheek and with that he walked off. I swear though I saw a little pip in his step after that conversation. Who knows this could maybe turn into something special.

     Ok I know this is probably crap so if you guys have any suggestions please share them because to be honest I don't know what I'm really doing. But also remember to leave requests because I am like totally on a brain block with writing right now. Also Mark is probably one of my favorite Christian Slater characters so if you guys have any requests for him. I will happily write them.
