<SEISHUN HIGH SCHOOL, TEZUKA POV>

"Tezuka – want to hang out a bit?" I hear my friend, Fuji Syusuke ask as he smiles at me. I nod in agreement, it wouldn't hurt too much to just relax a bit. We make our way to the street tennis court to play some tennis. Fuji went a different route from tennis, but we still play every now and then. I'm the only one within the team who entered high school that wanted to proceed to be professional, Echizen, the youngest of us, decided to go professional himself but it seemed he isn't taking it seriously.

As we rally, my mind wonders back to that girl that I saw at the park, it's been a couple weeks since I last her. I couldn't help but wonder around the area, hoping to see her but to my dismay she wasn't there. Eventually I decided that there wasn't much a point, I was just wasting my time and why did I even care, I usually didn't when it comes to things like that. Fuji stops his serve as he smiles at me, then signals for a break.

"Saa, somethings on your mind," he says, drinking from his bottle and trust Fuji to realise.

"Ah, it's nothing," I say, hoping he wouldn't pester but it's Fuji, he doesn't stop.

"It's something, Tezuka. You can't hide from me, what is it," he says, facing me with his menacing smile and I sweat dropped, then I sigh.

"I saw this girl-" I start and I instantly regretted it when Fuji's usually closed eyes open, revealing blue orbs and he looks at me, intrigued, "ahem, I saw this girl a couple weeks ago... it was just by chance, I don't think she even knew I was staring but it seemed like she was from another world, entirely. Everything around her just seemed unreal," I explain, not really knowing what else to say.

"Mhm... how interesting. Do you want to see her again?" He asks, his eyes now closed as he smiles.

"I – I'm not really sure," I reply, honestly. Do I want to see her again? Something inside me is saying yes, but another part is saying I don't have time to dwindle about and waste my time, I need to become what I want to be.

"I think it's nice. By the sound of it, she's a real angel," he says as he gets up and packs his things, I did the same and we walk home.

<TOKYO HOSPITAL, AINA POV, SECOND ENCOUNTER>

I sit, listening to my home schooling teacher as she explains about the history of Japan taking notes down and answering questions that I revised for the night before. This is my life; living in the hospital, being home schooled and not having any friends – except for my loving herb and flower collection, those are the things I really need. Next is English, I'm terrible at this subject but my teacher is very patient and considers everything to make it easier for me.

"Thanks, Kita-sensei," I say, smiling at her and she smiles back as she packs her things and says we'll begin again tomorrow. I nod happily as she makes her exit then with a sigh I gently lay back on the bed, looking out the window – the sky slowly darkening. I want to look at the stars tonight, it says a shooting star will appear but I can't see properly through this window. I get my phone out and send a text to my older sister asking if I could go out, she is against it when she asks mum over the phone but then she says as long as I don't wonder off too far – just by the park. I agree as I gently get out of bed, telling the nurse where I'll be and she nods, giving me an extra warm cardigan. I thank her as I make my way outside.

The small chilly air greets me, in to which I smile as I make my way to the park – the sight making me smile upon seeing the cherry tree shine in the moonlight. I sit down at the spot I always sit on, I smile as I look up to the sky, waiting for the shooting star. I hear a rustle from my right side and I turn my head to see a tall boy, staring. I tilt my head to the side, wondering if he's okay as he looked like a stone, standing so still you wouldn't notice he was there.

"Are you alright?" I ask, standing up as I walk towards him, carefully and gently. He clears his throat as he steps forward, I stop upon seeing his face clearly – a handsome man with honey brown eyes behind glasses, his slightly dishevelled hair sways with the small breeze.

"Ah – yeah," he replies, his deep baritone voice makes me flush a little and I smile at him.

"Would you like to take a seat? A shooting star is meant to appear tonight, I don't want to miss it," I say, walking back to my original spot as I look at him, waiting to see if he wants to sit. He slowly walks forward, then sitting next to me with a little distance he looks up to the sky. The comforting silence makes me close my eyes, then I hum gently, a tune that father would always hum to us when we were little.

When I finished, I look at him and we both blush as he was staring, with a little cough he looks back up to the night sky and I giggle.

"You're like a mimosa pudica, you recoil and flush when you get found of doing something embarrassing," I joke, laughing and I see that he wasn't laughing.

"I... I don't get it...?" He then replies, and I blush furiously, realising I made a plant joke that wasn't funny at all to him but yet I laughed like a little kid.

"I – I'm sorry, I made a plant joke...it's a bad habit," I apologise, my eyes downcast on my lap.

"The shooting star," he says and I abruptly looked up, to my delight I managed to see it in time. I gasp at how beautiful it is – a splash of white and yellow. After sometime, the shooting stars disappeared and I breathe a sigh of relief.

"I should head back, oh, I'm Tsunagi Aina, by the way, you are?" I say, standing up with my hands behind my back as I smile at him.

"Tezuka... Kunimitsu," he replies, his gaze never leaving mine and I giggle, then with a warm big smile I nod.

"Pleasure, Tezuka-san. I hope you have awonderful night," I say then make my way back to my room, I felt his gazelinger on my back and I smile to myself, feeling happy.
