"Reyna?" Nico called out to the dark figure as he neared closer towards the horses' stables. The person's silhouette came out and revealed his friend, holding a bag of her own and without the usual armor which she normally sported.

"Good, you're here," Reyna said, looking around them checking to make sure they were alone.

"Gods, I can't believe we're actually doing this," Reyna sighed. "What are we? Rebellious teenagers?"

"I mean, yeah. That pretty much sums it up," Nico said, picking at his nails with his sword.

"Nico I'm twenty, I'm not a teenager anymore," Reyna said.

"Well I am, which means I can be as rebellious as I want," Nico said, sliding down the side of one of the stables.

"Nico, this is serious. If we get caught, it doesn't matter how much your father neglects you, you're still the prince, and since I helped you in this...I could get executed," Reyna said, her voice never once wavering, but if you looked closely, and knew her well enough, you could see the hint of fear in her eyes. After all, no one's perfect or invincible, not even those who we look up to and admire.

"Reyna I swear on my life I'll never let that happen. We're two of the best sword fighters in the kingdom, not to mention you're the best strategist I know," Nico said, trying to assure his friend. "We'll be fine."

"I know, Nico. But you should be aware, if we leave the kingdom now, there's no going back," Reyna warned.

"I...I know. And I'm okay with that," Nico said, not really sure if he was trying to convince himself or his friend. He found himself fiddling with his sister's old skull ring, one of the things he found in her old jewelry box after she died.

"Good. You should know, I've already made a plan," Reyna said, not missing the small, nearly invisible smirk Nico had on his face. "We'll take two horses, which is why we're at the stables, and then - you may not like this part - we'll make our way to Okeanos."

"What!?" Nico nearly choked on his own spit. "No way. Why would you take me there? You know what happened!"

"Nico, that was eight years ago. You can't possibly still be made at Percy," Reyna said, exasperated.

"Watch me," Nico stubbornly, sticking out his bottom lip in a pout.

"You are such a child sometimes," Reyna muttered to herself. "Nico, we have to go there. Unlike you, I've actually seen Percy along these last couple of years. He's sorry, really, and you should forgive him."

"Even if I did, which I won't," the prince said, crossing his arms, "Why do we need to go there?"

"Because, like you, Percy wants to get away from his royal life," Reyna said, and Nico raised his eyebrows in question.

"Why would he want to do that? From what I can tell he has loving parents and a great life," Nico said, resentment clear in his voice.

"He wants to be with one of the ladies who works in his castle. It's the kingdom's strategist, one of the best in the world. But his father won't let him so he's resorted to finding a way to run away," Reyna explained.

"I still don't see what that has to do with us," Nico said, still angry and spiteful from what happened all those years ago.

"Percy's kingdom is right next to the sea. His family owns a lot of ships, he is going to take one of those ships, and sail off with a bunch of his friends, his lover, and some other royal princes and princesses who want to get away from their life," Reyna said.

"That sounds like one of the most idiotic ideas I've ever heard of," Nico said, his face void of emotion. "I mean, you think everyone will just be fine when all of the royal children of all the kingdoms disappear at the same time?"

"It's better than the plan we have, which is to run around the world like a bunch of homeless crazy people," Reyna said, her voice becoming slightly dangerous.

"Oh and that's so much better than becoming a pirate!" Nico snapped at his friend.

"Nico, I understand you're upset but it isn't that big of a deal. We don't have any other choices and if you happen to have one I'd love to hear it," Reyna said quietly, but not in a soft way, in a dangerous way, and that's when Nico knew the conversation was over. He stayed silent. "Yeah, I didn't think so. Now get on a horse. We're going to Okeanos."
