Wedding day

Sleep didnt come easy that night bucky laid awake, what was he going to do when he saw y/n? 'Would she talk to me? Would I talk to her? What would I say to steve?' He thought, nothing would prepare him for what was coming.

When morning came he loathed in self pity and hate. He always knew why to say, he was confident well put together. But today he was none of those things he was angry, his body wrenched at the thought of Natasha. He wasted so much time on her that he lost y/n, bucky got ready for the wedding. Apart of him was trying to run, avoid the y/n, steve, Natasha and all the agony that came with you all.

The venue was beautiful, him and Natasha were trying to find their seats. She wouldnt shut up about how well you did the wedding and how proud she was of you. She was acting normal like she didnt leave y/n alone and cut her off. They sat down and steve was standing at the altar a buoyant smile on his face.

Bucky and steve made eye contact bucky gave him a thumbs up steve waved. He missed Steve, even though james pushed him away it was like they haven't been apart. Sand box love never dies

The music began to play and everyone stood up. Buckys breath was taken away, y/n looked stunning her delicate smile and tender eyes met with buckys for a second before she looked back at steve. Bucky felt guilty, a man full of agonizing love for a woman he could never have.

The reception went by slow, it hurt james in the same way it hurt you. To watch the one person you love marry someone else someone better. To feel the pressure of misery suffocate you in love that you will never be able to share. The selfishness you both have felt, like it was wrong to love eachother. Bucky listened to every word shared between tou and steve, he counted the 'i love yous' the look of love in your eyes was burned in his head for eternity.

Bucky was now sat in one of the dark t table with his wife. Natasha was acting like they were a happy couple, like she doesn't cheat on him almost every night. Natasha acting like this filled bucky with indignation, he resented her with very fiber In him. You and steve were making your way around saying hello and thank yous to everyone who came.

Steve was talking one of his aunts, y/n slipped off to find bucky. When she reached him with a loving smile all he could do was hug her. Bucky and y/n were in a comfortable silence as they held on tight to each other. Y/n whispered in his ear "I miss you" tears now running down her perfect face. Bucky pulled away a little to look at her "you look amazing y/n/n, I'm so sorry" you nodded and gave him a soft yet weak smile. You missed him, because wasn't just the love of your life he was your bestfriend.

"Why do you forgive me everytime I mess up y/n?" Bucky asked "because I'll never leave you, I'm so selfish to let you go." Bucky wanted to kiss you hold you forever,"do you hate me?" Bucky questioned. You shock your head no "I thought the world of you james and i still do, buck just because I stopped being your bestfriend doesn't mean you stopped being mine"

At this moment the two of you wished in your head that you could live I this moment forever. Never leave stay here in secret love, savor the why each of you looked. Keep the sweet passion you two thought died a long time ago. You two knew you were still in love with eachother yes but apart of you forgot what eachother sounded like. The mind forgets but the heart remembers, even the little things are big to you.

Was it wrong that the reason why you were looking forward to your wedding was because you knew bucky would be there? Yes. But in this moment you didn't care, bucky and you were selfish for eachother. shameless that's what you were.

You, bucky, steve, and Natasha spent the whole night together repairing the damage. Bucky was still in pain that you were married but at least he had you now in his life again. Even if things went back to the way they were two days ago he didnt care one night spent in your company was enough to make him feel happy.
