Chapter Eight

What do you mean? What happened??

  Sophie felt a small jab on her shoulder, and remembered Ro was a waiting for an update.

  She turned around and described what she heard, frustrated that they had so little information to go on.

  "We have to go rescue him, who knows what his mom might make him do."

  Ro put her hands on her hips. "Hate to break it to you girly, but even though you have a ton of fancy abilities, you need more help. So why don't you call over your little friends and have them help?"

  Sophie considered it for a moment. Involving them would put them at risk, but it's not very different from the missions they went on for the Black Swan. Besides, it was up to them anyways.

  Gathering up her mental energy, she imagined several hands reaching out and finding her friend's minds. Sophie decided to only involve Fitz, Biana, Dex, Tam, Linh, Marella, and Wylie, because she still didn't trust Stina yet, Wylie wouldn't want Maruca to be involved, and there was no way she was going to involve Glimmer.

  Everyone, I need your help. Can you all come over to Elwin's place for a second? Make sure you don't let your bodyguard come with you if you have one though, come up with some excuse or whatever. Please hurry.

  And with that, she sat down with Ro, and began coming up with a plan until the others arrived.

Update December 30th, 2022:

Sorry I haven't updated in a year, things got super busy and I completely forgot about this. Book 9 also came out, so I didn't see a point to continuing this, especially since it only got 80 reads or something. I found it kind of funny that what I wrote was similar to the official book 9 in some ways. Huh. So I probably won't be updating this anymore, unless someone wants to keep reading it. Let me know in the comments. I might make a book 10 fanfic, so let me know if you want to see that. I doubt anyone will though. Anyways, it was fun writing this, whether it will continue or not is up to you. Bye guys!
