As I sat on my bed reading the book I begged my sister to come and listen to I noticed cuts across her wrist. I also noticed that she wasn't wearing her bracelets today. That means she must have woken up late this morning and forgot to grab them when she left. I don't ask her about them though. I never do. I learned that from the first and last time I asked her. She doesn't like me knowing about them. She wants to be the strong, big sister that everyone expects her to be. But she has something going on. I can tell. I just wish she'd talk to me about it.

I must have been staring at them longer than what I thought because she pulled down her sleeves over her hands.
"Are you going to finish reading to me. Or are you just going to keep staring at me. Because if you're done I'll go to my room now." She said as she started to get off my bed.
"No. I'm going to keep reading. Please stay."
"Fine. But just keep reading." She explained rolling her eyes.

I really wish I could help. Know why she's so bottled up, why she doesn't trust anyone. I got to think if I showed her me cuts/scars she'll talk to me. Maybe open up a little bit. But then I figured that she might be mad or upset. Like she failed as an older sister. And I didn't want to made her feel worse so I decide not to show her and just finish reading.
