Dean gets home from running his errands and the first thing he does is throws on his favorite pair of sweatpants and his AC/DC t-shirt. He makes a bowl of popcorn and sits down on the beaten up old couch. With a low buzz, the television flickers on. He was about to change the channel when he saw on the news that there was a robbery close by. Seems like Crowley struck again. Dean scuffs just thinking about this man. His finger was just about to press the channel button when he heard that there was one victim in the hospital in critical condition. This was the only time when he actually watched the news, when either someone was hurt or money issues.

When he heard the name of the victim, he almost drops the popcorn bowl onto the floor.
Castiel Novak was admitted into the hospital in critical condition after being stabbed in a recent robbery. But out of this tragedy, the infamous robber, Crowley McCleod is now in custody and may face the death penalty. That is all the information we have for now and will report with any more news.

Dean couldn't believe what he was hearing. He just talked to Cas this morning. Everything seemed okay this morning. So many things can change in just a blink of an eye.

Dean runs to the Impala and revs the engine. If I get a ticket, oh well. Cas is more important. Dean thought. He drove faster than he ever drove before and it seemed like an eternity passed by the time he got to the hospital. Dean drove his baby to the front of the parking lot. Fortunately, he found a space only 3 spaces away from the front. He speeds up to pulls in and skids to a stop. He grbs his jacket and steps out of the car. He makes sure the car is locked and runs to the entrance doors. He has to look at the signs to find the reception desk. he finally finds it and walks up asking the woman where Castiel Novak's room is. She takes a look at a small pack of papers and flips through them. Taking a little longer than Dean would have liked but he kept his mouth shut.

"Castiel just came out of surgery." The woman finally spoke. "Please sign in first then I'll tell you what room he is in."

Dean takes the clipboard from the nurse and signs his name quickly and hands it back.

The nurse takes a look at the paper and then at Dean with a smile. "Okay, he is in room 285. Take the elevators to the next floor and take 2 rights. The room should be on the left.

Dean takes off speed walking to go find Cas' room. He gets to the right floor but he has to ask another nurse where the room is. When he finally finds it, he stops outside the door. What if he thinks it's weird that I came to see him. He tries to think this through but only manages to make himself even more nervous. I'm just a friend who is here to see another friend after he got hurt. That's all. He finally  forces himself to walk quietly into the room. Cas is still asleep from the surgery. Dean sits down on the chair next to the bed and waits for him to wake up. Next thing he knows, he's asleep as well.

When Dean opens his eyes, he looks at the clock and realizes hes been asleep for 3 hours. Then he realizes that Cas isn't in the bed. He gets up and walks outside to stretch a little.

"Excuse me... are you Dean Winchester?" Dean turns around and is faced with a red-headed woman. He read her name tag as 'Charlie.'

"Um.. yeah." Dean mumbles, still a little groggy from his sleep.

"Castiel said that when you wake up, you can find him in the cafeteria on the first floor." The nurse, Charlie, points him in the direction and smiles brightly.

"Okay, thank you." He smiles back and walks off to find Cas.

When he finally gets to the cafeteria, he feels nervous to find Cas. Will he think I'm creepy for being here? What if he never talks to me again?  Dean is lost in his own thoughts until a hand on his shoulder yanks him out.

"Thank you for being here." Cas says with a small smile.

"No problem, man. I saw what happened. Are you going to be okay?" Dean's voice shakes slightly but he hopes that Cas didn't notice. Apperently he didn't because he continued.

"Yeah I'll be okay. I just have to take a load of meds for the pain." he puts his hand on his stomach. "They said that if Crowley would have been just one more inch to the right, he would have caught a vital organ. Or something like that. I was still half asleep from all the anesthesia." he laughs quietly.

"Well, I'll stay with you." Dean mentally slapped himself. Way to go, Dean You probably just scared him with your protectiveness. Dean continues to argue with himself until Cas starts talking again.

"I'd like that. Thank you"
